Happy Wednesday, Friends! Today, I’d like to share with a “Slimline Christmas” card that I’ve made for Sep-2020 “Christmas” challenge theme over at the WOW! Embossing Powders Facebook Page using WOW! Frosting, WOW! Taffeta Pink, WOW! Pink Sherbert, WOW! Mint Macaroon, WOW! Metallic Platinum Sparkle and WOW! Metallic Gold Rich powders. With that being said, I also would like to invite you to come and play along with us for a chance to win a $15.00 or ₤15.00 gift card to WOW! US or WOW! UK online stores. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made it ↓
To begin with, I started by placing a card panel inside my MISTI Stamping Tool then, once the card panel was into place, I went ahead to lineup on one of the upper corners the ornament stamp image from the No Peeking stamp set. Therefore, after I’ve had the stamp image in place, I went ahead to prepped the card panel using Embossing Powder Tool.
Thus, after I’ve had finish prepping the card panel, I went ahead to get the stamping started so, to do that I went ahead to stamp the image using WOW! Embossing Pad, and so on and so forth I kept stamping until I’ve gotten 8 ornament images stamped. However, every time I’ve had done stamping each image, I quickly and carefully added to each of them the embossing powder which in this case I’ve used WOW! Metallic Platinum Sparkle, WOW! Pink Sherbert, WOW! Taffeta Pink, WOW! Frosting and WOW! Mint Macaroon.
So, after I’ve done stamping and adding the embossing powder to each stamped image, I went ahead to heat set the powders using my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool. Then, right after when the powder was completely melted I set them aside to let them cool down a bit but, in the meanwhile, I went ahead to lineup over a large piece of white cardstock the Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes Die, and once I had it lineup, I went ahead to run it though my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.
Moving along, after I’ve had finishing die-cutting the card panel, I went ahead to glue it down over a slimline size white card base. Then, I set it aside and I moved on to die-cut the ornaments out of the cardstock so, to do that I lineup over one of the images its coordinated die and I ran them though the die-cut machine, and so on and so forth I kept die-cutting until I’ve gotten all die-cut out the cardstock. Lastly, after I’ve had all ornaments die-cut I started the assembling for the card so, as you can see, I glued some of them with liquid glue while other with craft foam tape to add dimension.
So, after I’ve had finished adhering the ornaments I went ahead to mount with craft foam tape a sentiment which I’ve had previously heat emboss on a piece of white cardstock with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich. Last but not least, after the sentiment was mounted, I went ahead to glue down here and there Crystal Confetti for an extra sparkly touch and as a finishing touch I glue down over each ornament a small gold die-cut piece which I’ve had previously die-cut using a tiny present topper die from one of my die sets by Spellbinders. With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created this “Slimline Christmas” inspiration card.
