WOW! EP Pearl Powders Challenge┃Inspiration Card

Happy Tuesday, Friends! It’s week 4 for the JULY-2020 “Pearl Powders” challenge theme over at the WOW! Embossing Powders Facebook Page. So therefore, this week I’ve created this “Thank You” card made using WOW! Gold Pearl and WOW! Metallic Gold Rich powders. With that said, I’d like to invite you to come and play along with us for a chance to win a $15.00 or ₤15.00 gift card to WOW! US or WOW! UK online stores. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made it ↓

To begin with, I started by inking it up a Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper card panel from bottom to top with Coral Reef and Peach Fuzz inks creating a gradient look over it. Once the card panel was inked up, I set it aside to let the inks dry, thus in the meanwhile I went ahead to create the die-cutting so I lined up over a white piece of cardstock the Sunflower Stem Die and I ran it through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. So therefore, after I was done creating the first sunflower die-cutting I repeated the same step 2 more times, and as soon as the die-cutting sunflowers were complete I stacked them all creating that way a dimensional Sunflower.

Moving along, after the dimensional die-cutting was done I set it aside and I went ahead to heat emboss the sentiment so, for the sentiments I placed a piece of white cardstock inside my stamping tool and then I lined up over one of the sentiments from the Home Sweet Home Stamp Set. Right after that, I prepped the cardstock using Embossing Powder Tool and then right after, I got the sentiment stamped with WOW! Embossing Pad. Lastly, I added WOW! Metallic Gold Rich over the stamping and I went ahead to heat set the powder using my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool.

So, after the sentiment was heat embossed, I lined up its coordinated die and I ran them through the die-cut machine to die-cut it out from the cardstock. At this point my inked card panel was completely dry, so I went ahead to placed it inside my stamping tool, and then I lined up over it the Thank You Background Stamp. Once both were lined up, I went ahead to get it prep with embossing tool and to get it stamped with embossing ink, so as soon as the card panel was stamped I removed it from the stamping tool and I added WOW! Gold Pearl then, I heated set the powder with the heat embossing tool until it was completely melted.

Finally, after all pieces were complete, I assembled the card, so I trimmed the edges off from the card panel a bit smaller than the card base, and I adhered it with double-sided tape to a top folding white card base. Then, I glued down with liquid glue the dimensional sunflower, and last but not least I mounted the sentiment with square dimensional adhesives to add dimension. To finish it off, I glued down here and there some jewels to add a touch of sparkle. With that said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created this “Thank You” card.
