Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an easy “Holiday” wreath inspiration card made using, Thrill of Hope Wreath Stencil to create the layered wreath + Thrill of Hope Hot Foil Plate and Thrill of Hope Die for the die-cutting/glimmering to add glimmering touches to the card sentiment. Along with this fabulous layered stencil set, I’m also using Metallic Pearls -Gold for the card embellishment and PFS- Inks to add color to the wreath. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
Therefore, as usual with every layered stencil set, I started off by placing an A2 size white card panel over my Make Art - Stay-tion - 7 Inch. And then, I went ahead to line up over the card panel the guide lines from stencil #1 including in Thrill of Hope Wreath Stencil. Next, as soon as I had them line up, I went ahead to start the ink blending over the card panel using an ink blending brush along with Mint Ink.
Thus, to continue with the layered ink up for the wreath, I went ahead to use stencil #2 along with Evergreen Ink. Stencil #3 along with Storm Ink. Stencil #4 along with Meadow Ink and last but not least, stencil #5 along with Sky Blue Ink.
Having that said, right after that I’ve had finished the layering stencil process for the wreath, I went ahead to set the card panel aside to let the ink soak into the cardstock. Meanwhile, I went ahead to foil stamp the card sentiment over a piece of white cardstock using; one of the hot foil plates including in Thrill of Hope Hot Foil Plate along with a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass + my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine for the hot foil stamping process. By the way, this set also has Thrill of Hope Stamp which happens to be its coordinating stamp in case you desire to stamp in black/color or why not heat emboss the card sentiment, if you’re definitely not into hot foil stamping.
Moving on, after I had the hot foil stamping done, I went ahead to add texture to the wreath using Glitter Snow and a craft spatula as well as some gold splatters. as for the splatters, I used Gold Silk. Therefore, while the spattering was drying out, I went ahead to die-cut the card sentiment out of the cardstock using its coordinating die which is including in Thrill of Hope Die. Also, I die-cut the same sentiment out of plain white cardstock and once I had that done, I stacked them over creating that way a sturdy dimensional sentiment. Then, for the card assembling, I went ahead to trim off the edges of the card panel to H 5.0” x W 3-3/4” inches and then, I’ve got the backing of it adhered with craft foam and double-sided adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base.
Lastly, I glued down the dimensional card sentiment with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue in the center of the wreath and then, I also glued down here and there some Metallic Pearls -Gold to add even more glimmer to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this easy/glimmering “Holiday” wreath inspiration card.
