Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’m excited to share with you this set of “3-Dimensional” snowflake ornaments/gift tags/ruffled rosette + a matching inspiration card which I made using some of The Stamp Market holiday stamps and dies from their “Merry & Magical” release. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
Therefore, I started off by lining up the Ruffled Rosette Die over a large piece of Blush colored cardstock, and then I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I repeated the same step, and then I went ahead to run them once again through my die cut machine. Once, I had the two die-cutting pieces completed, I went ahead to turn on my hot glue gun and while the glue gun was heating up, I went ahead to fold the scoring lines created by the dies in mountains and valleys way.
By the time, I had finished folding the scoring lines my hot glue gun was ready to glue, so I went ahead to add glue to one end of one of the die-cutting pieces and then, I’ve got them adhere together. Once I had that step done, I went ahead to add more glue to the other end of it, and then I’ve got it adhered together by pushing it downwards. Then, to seal the 3-dimensioanal snowflake, I went ahead to use one of the smaller dies including in Snow Flurries Dies to die-cut two smaller die-cutting pieces out of white cardstock. Thus, a soon as I’ve got finished the die-cutting for the smaller pieces, I went ahead to get them glue down on the back and front of the 3-dimensional snowflake. Lastly, I used the large snowflake dies including in the set mentioned above to die-cut the largest snowflake out of Diamond Glitter Cardstock and the smaller out of plain white cardstock. So, right after that I’ve got finished the die-cutting for the snowflakes, I went ahead to layer them over the 3-dimensional snowflake and then, I finished the first 3D ornament with a snowflake shape off by gluing down a Crystal Confetti in the center of it to add an extra pop of shine to it.
The second 3D snowflake ornament was made in the same way as the first one, however I used Cheeky colored cardstock and I got the folds fold in upwards to make a slightly change to it.
Also, I decided to add a die-cutting layered sentiment which I created by using a piece of the same colored cardstock along with white cardstock and the dies including in Joy Layering Die.
For the third example, I made a gift card box using the dies including in Gift Card Box Dies set along with one of dotted patterned sheets from Basic Dotted Patterned Paper pad.
Therefore, after finishing the die-cutting for the gift card box, I went ahead to get the assembling started. Once, the gift card box assembling was completed, I went ahead to use one of the dies included in the same set to die-cut pieces of glitter cardstock to add the glittery ribbon around the gift card box.
Lastly, instead of using the dies to create the bow for the gift card box, I used one of the 3D snowflake ornaments which I created out of Bubble Gum colored cardstock in the same way as I did for the other two examples. As you can see, to finish it off I added a sentiment over it, so for the sentiment, I coordinating color ink along with a piece of white cardstock and the sentiment stamp and coordinating die which are including in Sending Cheer Stamp Set and Sending Cheer Dies.
For the fourth example, I made a 3D snowflake rosette wand, so to make it, I went ahead to create another 3D-snowflake in the same way as I made the other ones for the previous examples. However, instead of using colored cardstock this time, I made it out of white and glittery cardstock.
Thus, as soon as I had finished making it, I went ahead to put it off to the side while, I went ahead to get two white circles die-cut out of white cardstock. So, to die-cut the white circles, I used a die from my stash that measures 1-3/4” inches in diameter. Having that said, after I had finished die-cutting the white circles, I went ahead to place one of them down over my craft table and then I added a large dot of hot glue, to get the decorative paper straw adhered right in the middle of it. Next, I added square foam adhesive to the sides of the straw and then, I’ve gotten the second circle adhered over the straw.
Lastly, I went ahead to cut with my scissors a few pieces of white and silver narrow ribbon along with decorative rims, which right afterwards got tied up around the straw. Then, I added a little dot of hot glue to secure the ribbons and decorative rims to it, and once I had that step completed, I finished the rosette snowflake wand by adhering down the 3D snowflake over it along with a sentiment which, I’ve got stamped over a piece of white cardstock with Bubble Gum ink using one of the sentiment stamps and coordinating dies that are including in Winter's Wispy Trees Stamp and Winter’s Wispy Trees Dies.
For today’s last example, I made a matching glittery snowflake greeting card, so to do that, I went ahead to trim off an A2 size glittery card panel using Diamond Glitter Cardstock using my Comfort Paper Trimmer. Next, I went ahead to adhere the backing of it with Tear Tape 1/2” to an A2 top folding white card base, and once I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to put it off to the side, to keep going with the die-cutting for the front card panel.
Thus, for the die-cutting card panel, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the So Many Snowflakes Cover Die, and once I had them line up, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. As soon as, I’ve had finished die-cutting the front card panel, I went ahead to get the backing adhered over the card base, to get the glittery background pop throughout the die-cutting snowflake design create by the cover die.
Lastly, after getting the die-cutting panel adhered over the card base, I went ahead to finish the card off by adhering down a layered snowflake which I’ve had created using the same dies that I used to make the rest of the examples. Then, as for the card sentiment, I went ahead to get mounted a holiday card sentiment, which I’ve had previously stamp and heat emboss with embossing ink and white embossing powder over a large piece of heavy weight translucent vellum. A die-cutting card sentiment made using; one sentiment stamp and coordinating die from Merry & Magical Stamp and Merry & Magical Dies.
As a finishing touch, I’ve got glue down a crystal confetti in the center of snowflake to add an extra touch of shine to the card. And with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of “3-Dimensional” snowflake ornaments/gift tags/ruffled rosette + a matching inspiration card using some holiday stamps and dies from the “Merry & Magical” release by The Stamp Market.
