THANK YOU CARDS
Hello, on today's blog. I am sharing 3 Thank You cards with You.
Card bases and panels
All of today's cards are featuring the patterned papers included in the August Simon Says Stamp card kit, except for my card bases.
For my card bases I used
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Environment Dessert Storm.
For my panels I used
The Tonic Powder Blue Lace included in the kit. Which I cut 2 pieces out of it. Each piece measures 4'' X 5.25''.
One of the 6''X 6'' BoBunny patterned papers, also cut in 2 pieces. Each piece measures 3''X 4.5''.
For the last card, I use the 2 left over pieces from the patterned paper. Each piece measures 3''X 1.5''.
Stamping
Once, I was done scoring and cutting the bases and panels. I stamped the images with copic friendly Extreme Black Ink by My Favorite Things. All images used are from the Mandy's Flowers stamp set included in the August card kit by Simon Says Stamp. Although, the stamp and die set are available without purchasing the whole cardkit.
Coloring
After, letting the ink dry for a few minutes. I did a very simple copic coloring. Nothing Fancy at all! as I'm discovering the Copic world at this moment.
So, here are the colors that I used for these cards.
Reds R11, R20, R22
Yellows Y00, Y02
Yellow Greens YG17, YG21, YG25
Blues B00, B02, B05
Neutrals N0, N02, N04
assembling
Right after all the coloring, I fussy cut the images. Then, I glued them down with liquid glue. I also, added foam tape creating dimension.
My first example shows, one of the blue panels with a white base. But, for this card I did a little bit of distress on the patterned paper, creating torn edges for a vintage look. I also, foam mounted the flowers and the sentiments creating dimension in between them.
My second example shows, the other blue panel with the white base as well. Basically the same design! Although, for this card I left straight edges. And, I don't know if you are able to see it. But the colors are slightly different from the previous card. This also has dimension in between the sentiments and flowers.
My third and last example shows the Kraft color base, with a white embossed panel. On this card, I used the 2 left over pieces from the patterned paper. Creating one whole piece, which is hard to see the separation in between them. I also, used a leftover blue stripe from the embossed sheet for contrast. Then, I foam mounted the flowers and sentiments for dimension.
Your imagination, is Your limit.
I hope you get Inspired and give these designs a try! Just keep in mind, that you can create the same designs with any combination of patterned and color papers.
Thank You, your time is valuable. Don't forget to spread kindness, Today and Always.
Best,
Yasmin
