Tecnique Tuesday September Release Greeting Cards

Technique Tuesday September Release Greeting Cards

Happy Wednesday Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you the two cards that, I made featuring Chrysanthemum Flower Stamp & Chrysanthemum Flower Crafting Die sets from the new September Greenhouse Society collection by Technique Tuesday.
With that being set, please keep on reading this blog post! ↓

To begin with, I started by stamping with Skeleton Leaves Ink all images from the Chrysanthemum Flower Stamp Set on a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock. Once, all images were stamped, I water colored them in with my ARTEZA Watercolor Pencils in Orange, Yellow & Green tones. Right after when I done coloring them in, I set the piece of card stock with the images aside to let them dry.

In the meanwhile, I created the card panel for the card by using a piece of Whisper Card Stock which, I made some score lines in the middle of it. To do that, I used my score board and my bone folder to create crisp lines as you can see in the picture above. Once, the lines were finish, I trimmed the edges of the card panel and I create some splatter by using metallic copper & white paint. And, last but certainly not least, I adhered the backing of it to an A2 top folding white card base with double-sided tape.

Right afterwards, I ran through the die-cutting machine all images along with the Chrysanthemum Flower Crafting Dies to die-cut them out of the card stock. Lastly, I adhered the backing of the images to build the flower on one of the sides of the card and, I also adhered a sentiment that I previously heat embossed in the same color card stock with Metallic Copper Super Fine embossing powder with foam crafting tape to add a little bit of dimension as you can see in the picture above.

For the second example, I stamped and water colored once again the images in a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth however, this time I decided not to white heat embossing the images for a no line coloring look. Once, I was done with the coloring I set the images aside to let them dry. In the meantime, I dry embossed a card panel by using Whisper Card Stock and the 3-D Embossing Folder Tim Holtz. Once the card panel was done, I trimmed the edges of it and I adhered the backing to an A2 top folding white card base with double-sided tape. Lastly, I ran through the die-cutting machine the dies to die-cut the flower images as, well as the Hugs die to die-cut the die-cutting word 4X out of white card stock. As, I was going to stack them to make a sturdy Hugs die-cutting so, it could resist the copper heat embossing. Finally, to finish the card off, I built the flower on one of the sided and I adhered the backing of the Hugs word on the opposite side of the flower.
