Chameleon Friends Greeting Cards

Chameleon Friends Greeting Cards

Hey there! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you the cute cards that I made with the new Chameleon Friends Stamp and Chameleon Friends Crafting Dies sets by Technique Tuesday from their Animal House collection. So, without further ado please keep on reading this blog post! ↓

To make these two simple and clean little square cards, I started by stamping and white heat embossing the Chameleon and Snake from the Chameleon Friends Stamp with opaque bright white embossing powder and embossing ink in a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock. Once the heat embossing was set and melted, I colored the images in with the Arteza Real Brush Pens in a variety of colors specially for the chameleon. Next, I set the images aside to let them dry as, I used a little bit of water to mix the colors.

Right after when the images were dry, I ran the through the die-cutting machine along with the Chameleon Friends Crafting Dies to die-cut the images out of the Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock. As, you can see, I used the chameleon for the first example. To create this card, I used whisper card stock as my card bases (the measurements for the card bases were 4 1/4 X 4 1/4) Once, I had the card bases ready, I adhered the backing of a white card panel which, I trimmed slightly smaller than the card base with double-sided tape. Next, I adhered a piece of textured white card stock and a piece of Ivory Burlap String which I wrapped around and finished with a tied bow to the card with mounting tape to create a little bit of dimension. Lastly, I adhered the backing of the chameleon and a sentiment that I had gold heat embossed on a piece of the same color car stock that I used for the card bases with metallic gold embossing powder.

For the second example, I repeated the same steps. The only changes that I did was to adhere the snake, sentiments and the tied bow in the opposite side of the card.

Same as the first example, I added dimension to the card by adhering the textured piece of white card stock and the sentiment with foam mounting tape.

To finish both cards off, I adhered some of the moonshine confetti sequins here and there to give them a touch of sparkle so, that’s all for today friends! I hope these cards inspire you not only to give these design but, to give the Chameleon Friends Stamp and Matching Die Sets a try!
