STAMPtember® 2019 Greeting Cards

STAMPtember® 2019 Greeting Cards

Hello crafters, welcome to the super and extraordinary Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember® blog party! The excitement is real friends! As, we aren’t celebrating just STAMPtember®. We are also celebrating the Simon Says Stamp 10th STAMPtember® Anniversary! How awesome is that??? So, today I’d love to invite you to, take part of this awesome celebration as, we will be sharing an array of products to inspire you just like this Balloon Letter stamp set with which, I’ve created these two awesome celebration cards.

So, for the first example, I started by creating a wash of pink watercolor in a big piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Card Stock and I set it aside to dry. In the meanwhile, I stamped each of the Balloon Letters with clear embossing ink on a piece of white card stock. Next, I rose gold heat embossed each of the letters and I fussy cut them out of the card stock.

Once, I was done fussy cutting the letters out of the card stock, I came back to the card panel which at that point was already dry so, I trimmed the edges of the card panel and I adhered the backing of it to a big piece of Neenah Desert Storm Cards Stock. Because this is a big celebration, I created not only one but, two A9 cards. So, for the first card, I added lots of dimension, by adhering the backing of each letter with Foam Mounting Tape (By the way, the stamp has two strings stamp images included which, I didn’t use on any of today’s examples because, I made A9 cards so, instead I used metallic thread as the strings for the balloon letters)

As, I mentioned earlier, I just couldn’t stop right there so, I made a second card by keeping the same idea for the letters however, I changed the card panel as you can see in the picture above. The ways to use these awesome letters are endless! So, to create the card panel, I inked up a white card panel by using the Confetti Stencil and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. Once the card panel was all inked up, I trimmed the edges of it, and I adhered the backing of it once again to a piece of Kraft card stock.

Lastly, I lined the letters up, and I adhered each of their backings to the card panel with foam mounting tape just to add dimension.

Finally, to finish both card off, I adhered each of the card panels to two A9 white card bases that I had previously cut, scored and folded with double-sided tape and I added Pink Moonstone Sequins here and there for an extra touch of shine!
