Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you a set of 6 handmade inspiration cards made using, Die Cut Shapes, Chipboard Stickers, Stamp Set, Die Set and the Patterned Paper Pad including in SEP-2021 “Together Is The Best"” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step for how I’ve made them ↓
Therefore, as you know every time, I made card using spellbinders’ Card Kit of the Month, I start off by selecting the die cut shapes and patterned paper sheets that I’m going to use to create each card. Thus, for this card, I went ahead to select this beautiful floral-patterned paper along with those chipboard sticker frames with foil accents.
So, I started the card off by going ahead to trim down the edges of the patterned paper to H 5.0” x W 3-3/4” inches using my Comfort Paper Trimmer, and once I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to adhere down the backing of it using double-sided adhesive to one of the textured white card bases including in the kit. Next, I went ahead to create a bit of dimension between both frames using square foam adhesives and then, I went ahead to mount the frames over the card base.
Moving on, as soon as I’ve had the frames mounted over the card base, I went ahead to adhere down inside the frame one of the die cut shapes using square foam adhesives to add dimension. Also, I’ve got adhere down the gold word thanks using one of the foam stickers finishing that way my first example.
For the second example, I went ahead to trim down the patterned paper sheet in the same size as the previous example and then, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to one of the textured white card bases.
Next, I set the card base off to the side and then, I went ahead to stack the dolly die cut shape to a piece of gold cardstock making that way the dotted edge to stand out. Right after that step, I went ahead to get a sentiment stamped and gold heat embossing over one of the die cut shapes, using one of the sentiments including in the stamp set from the kit. Once, I had that step completed, I’ve gone ahead to stack them together using square foam adhesives to add dimension
Lastly, to finish the card off I went ahead to stack all pieces together and then, I’ve got them mounted over the card (as you can see in the image above) creating that way, a dimensional focal point for it,
The die cut shapes pack also includes this fabulous door die cut shape. Therefore, I went ahead to create a card with it so to do that, I went ahead to trim off the edges from the patterned paper sheet and then, I got the backing of it adhere using double-sided adhesive to a white textured card base.
Once, I had that step completed, I went ahead to mount the door die cut shape along with the rest of the die cut shapes. Also, to finish the card off, I went ahead to use one of the chipboard stickers to use it as you can see for the card sentiment.
For this card, I made a framed family picture greetings, so to do that, I went ahead to trim off the edges from one of the patterned papers and then, I adhered the backing of it with double-sided adhesive to a white textured card base.
Thus, after having the card base ready to create the card layout, I went ahead to adhere a chipboard frame over it in a landscape form along with the small and large doll die cut shapes creating that way the cute family greetings picture.
Lastly, I went ahead to mount 2 floral cluster on each corners of the frame and last but not least, I also mounted some die cut hearts to add an extra pop of shine.
For the next example, I made a square card using basically the same card layout that use for the previous example. However, instead of using die cut shapes and chipboard sticker, I used the die set including in the kit.
Therefore, I went ahead to use some pieces of the colored and gold cardstock including in the kit to die-cut the pieces for the die-cutting phone. So, to do that, I went ahead to line up the dies over the cardstock pieces and then I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.
Once, I had the die-cutting step finished, I went ahead to get the assembling for the telephone completed and then, I got it mounted over the card. Lastly, I went ahead to adhere down the card sentiment, which I grabbed from the puffy stickers and the I finished the card off by adhering down some puffy hearts as well.
The last example is the simplest from all, as all I used to make it were the butterfly die cut shapes. However, I’d like to mention that I used Striped Slimline Embossing Folder to add the texture for the front card panel.
Thus, after adding the texture for the card panel, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhere to one of the white textured card bases using craft foam and double-sided adhesive. Next, I glued down the butterflies (as shown in the image above) using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and then, I finished the card off by mounting a banner with a foiled sentiment on the right side of the card using it that way as the card sentiment.
And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of 6 handmade inspiration cards using, Die Cut Shapes, Chipboard Stickers, Stamp Set, Die Set and the Patterned Paper Pad including in SEP-2021 “Together Is The Best"” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders.
