Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a cute set of “Bird/Floral” inspiration cards made using “A Little Bird Told Me” SEP-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit which now has a separately coordinating die set which is called Tweet Friends that you can add as a Add-on to your kit. Plus, as you know pairs this set also works perfectly with this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit, Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club Kit all by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓
Therefore, this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit includes a cute birds stamp images along with some floral images and a banner. Thus, I went ahead to start off by placing down an A2 white card panel inside my MISTI Stamping Tool, and once I had it onto place, I proceeded to line up one of the bird stamp images in the center it. Next, I went ahead to get the stamp image stamped twice to the card panel using Detail Black Ink.
Soon after that I had finished stamping the bird, I went ahead to mask it up with a piece of masking tape, so I could go ahead and the rest of the stamping done around it, using the floral stamp images along with the banner stamp image (as you can see in the image above.) Moving on, after I had the stamping completed for the floral clusters and banner, I went ahead to stamp the sentiments as well using detailed black ink, finishing that way the stamping for a one-layer look card.
Once, I had the sentiments stamped to the card, I quickly went ahead to add a slightly pop of color to the stamped images using alcohol markers and then, I went ahead to trim off the edges from the card panel to W 3-7/8” x H 5-7/8” inches, which right afterwards, I’ve had gotten the backing of it mounted to a slightly larger card panel using craft foam adhesive to add a bit of dimension. A card panel, which I’ve had previously trim down using my Comfort Paper Trimmer out of Teal Topaz Cardstock. Lastly, I went ahead to adhere down the backing of the layered card panel to an A2 top folding white card base and then, I finished the card off by adhering down some of the Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems to add a pop of sparkle to the card.
For the next example, I made a clean and simple card, yet with lot of dimension as I used Tweet Friends Add-on die set to die-cut the bird and banner, which I’ve had stamped and colored in the same way as I did for the first example. Along with a combination of, this month’s Large Die of the Month Club Kit to die-cut the balloons and leaves. Plus, this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit to die-cut the small flowers out of the following colored cardstock combination Beeswax Cardstock, Rainforest Cardstock, Teal Topaz Cardstock and Waterfall Cardstock.
Therefore, right after that I’ve had finished die-cutting all the pieces that I was going to use to make this card, I’ve gone ahead to trim off a white card panel to H 5.0” x W 3-1/4” inches and then, I adhered the backing of it with craft foam and double-sided adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base.
Once, I had the front card panel mounted to the card base, I went ahead to get the assembling done, so to do that, I created a small branch where the bird is standing up along with the flowers and leaves that I added to the branch and banner. Also, I mounted the balloons to compliment the birthday sentiment, which I’ve had previously stamped over the banner using one out of the 3 sentiment that are including in the stamp set. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to to adhere down some of the same gems that I used in the previous example to add a pop of shine to this card as well.
For the last example, I made a half wreath by using the bow frame stamp image from the stamp set. Therefore, I went ahead to stamp the frame with detailed black ink over a piece of white cardstock and then, I added a pop of color to it. Next, I used a small pair of scissor to fussy cut out the frame out of the cardstock and I went ahead to set it off aside.
Meanwhile, I went ahead to trim off a white card panel to H5.0” x W 3-3/4” inches and then, I lined up over it one of the dies including in Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies Set. Once, I had them both line up, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to add the dotted detail to the front card panel. Thus, as soon as I’ve had finished adding the dotted detail to the card panel, I went ahead to adhere a piece of gold cardstock to the backing of it to make the tiny dots stand out and then, I proceeded to mount the card panel to an A2 top folding white card base using craft foam and double-sided adhesive just to add a bit of dimension.
Next, I went ahead to glue down the fussy cut out frame along with the leaves and flower creating that way a half wreath with them. Lastly, I used one of the banner dies including in this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club to die-cut the banner out of white cardstock. Also, I used the hello die including this month’s Small Die of the Month Club to die-cut the word multiple times out of gold and white cardstock. Lastly, I glued down the banner and the stacked die-cutting word to the card using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue as well as some gems and a gold string to make the wreath appear as if was hanging from the dotted panel. By the way, I die cut the gold string using one of the dies including in this month’s Large Die of the Month Club.
And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made cute set of “Bird/Floral” inspiration cards made using “A Little Bird Told Me” SEP-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit and the newest Tweet Friends that you can add as a Add-on to your kit both by Spellbinders.
