Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you an extra glimmering “Birthday” inspiration card made with a combination of September’s 2021 “Glimmering Build A Banner” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club Kit and “Just A Tweet” Large Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
Therefore, this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club includes 2 glimmer hot plates that add a lined background to the banner and 3 dies that die cut the banner pieces. Along with the glimmer plates and dies that build the banner the set also includes, 6 glimmer plates for you to add sentiments to the banner. So, having that said, as per usual I started off by setting up my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine over my Crafter's Essential Cutting and Alignment Mat. And, once I had that step completed, I went ahead to turn on the glimmer hot foil platform, and while my platform was heating up, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock both glimmer hot plates for the banner.
Thus, as soon as I had the glimmer plates line up over the white cardstock piece, I went ahead to cut a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass using the Quick Trimmer. And, once the glimmer hot foil platform was ready to foil, I went ahead to get the foil stamping done by running the platform through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. By the way, I repeated this step, so I could have both centers, bottom and top foil stamping pieces for the banner.
Soon after that I had the foil stamping completed, I went ahead to set them off aside while I proceeded to get the die-cutting process done out of white cardstock for the front pieces for the banner. Thus, once I had the die-cutting completed, I went ahead to line up 3 glimmer plates over them to get the foil stamping done over each of them. Nevertheless, as soon as I’ve had completed that step, I’ve quickly gone ahead to start the card assembling.
Moving on, for the card assembling, I went ahead to build the banner by gluing together the foil stamped pieces using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and then, I set it off to the aside. Meanwhile, I went ahead to add texture to an A2 size white card panel using Plaid Company Embossing Folder. Therefore, as soon as I’ve had finished adding texture to the card panel, I went ahead to trim off the edges of it using my Comfort Paper Trimmer and once I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to mount the backing of it with craft foam and double-sided adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base. Then, right after that, I went ahead to mount the built banner over the card and to finish the card assembling, I went ahead to mount some die-cutting balloons which, I’ve had previously die-cut out of Teal Topaz Cardstock, Waterfall Cardstock and gold cardstock using the dies including in this month’s Large Die of the Month Club Kit.
Lastly, I went ahead to add an extra touch of shine by adding string pieces of DMC in metallic gold to the balloons which as you can see in the image above, I’ve had gotten pass through the banner and tucked it in the backing of the front card panel. Also, I added a tied bow which I created out of the same DMC in metallic gold and then, to add even more glimmer to the card, I went ahead to adhere down here and there some Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems. And, with that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this extra glimmering “Birthday” inspiration card with a combination of September’s 2021 “Glimmering Build A Banner” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club Kit and “Just A Tweet” Large Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders.
