Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you a full set of “Christmas” inspiration cards made with the latest All Aboard Christmas Kit 2021 Limited Edition by Spellbinders. Therefore, I’ll be using Die Cut Shapes, Chipboard Stickers, Tags, Stamp Set, Die Set, Gems and the Patterned Paper Pad + all you can imagine, as this card kit is jam pack with everything you need to make any size card that you might need this holiday season. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step for how I’ve made them ↓
As per usual with every Spellbinders card kits, I’ve started off by selecting the die cut shapes, and patterned paper sheets that I was going to use to create each card. Thus, for this card, I went ahead to trim off a card panel to W 3-3/4” X H 5.0” inches using my Comfort Paper Trimmer and one of the lightest colored cardstock sheets including in the kit. Next, I went ahead to trim down another card panel a bit smaller than the previous panel, but this time using one of the patterned paper sheets including in the paper pad. Once, that I had both panels trimmed down, I’ve gone ahead to stacked them together and then, I quickly get the backing of the stacked panel adhered down with square foam adhesives to one of the textured card bases.
Thus, as soon as the card base was completed along with its front panel. I went ahead to mount one of the dimensional foam stickers in a form of cluster of gifts and then, I also adhere down some foam sticker stars to add a bit more dimension. Lastly, as simple as that, I went ahead to mount a die cut shape in a form of flag finishing off that way the first card.
As, for the second card I made a poinsettia frame using some of the die cut shapes. Therefore, I went ahead to trim off the edges of one of the patterned paper sheets and once I’ve had that done, I’d quickly gone ahead to mount each poinsettia die cut shape to the whole perimeter of the card panel, using square foam adhesives to add some dimension to the frame.
Thus, as soon as I’ve had finished creating the poinsettia frame, I went ahead to set it off aside while, I’ve got a combination of sentiments stamped and heat emboss over a large strip of translucent vellum, using some of the sentiments including in the stamp set including in the kit.
So, as soon as I’ve had finished stamping and heat embossing the sentiment, I went ahead to trim down the strip of vellum using my paper trimmer and then, I got the ends folding over to the back of the panel and then, I’ve gotten quickly the backing of the card panel adhere with square foam adhesives to one of the textured white card bases. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there some of the red sequins including in the kit to add a pop of sparkle to the card.
For the third project created with this kit, I made a cute tag using only die cut shapes. Therefore, I went ahead to select one of the tags and then, I glued down using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue some of the greenery die cut shapes to the top of it.
Next, I’ve got stacked some of the die cut shapes in form of poinsettias and as quickly as that my cute tag was completed. Well, not without adding a touch of shine, so I decided to adhere down some of the white gems, also including in the kit.
For the fourth project, I also made a second tag using another die cut shape with a cloche form. Therefore, I went ahead to tied a piece of jute which is also including in the kit. And then, I glued down with liquid glue some of the foiled die cut leaves.
Next, I mounted a die cut shape with a poinsettia form and then, I mounted a die cut shape in form of flag as well which, I used as the sentiment for the tag.
Last but not least, I adhered down some of the gemstones to add a pop of sparkle to it.
For the fifth project, I made a slimline card using the die set including in the kit along with one of the foam stickers. Therefore, I went ahead to use the dies including in the kit to die-cut the train pieces out light and dark blue, gold, and black colored cardstock.
Once, I had all die-cutting pieces done, I’ve gone ahead to get the assembling for the train and then, I set it off to the side. Meanwhile, I went ahead to line up over pieces of patterned paper the dies with the gifts and ornaments including in the set to die-cut the little gifts and ornaments out of them.
Thus, as soon as I’ve had finished the die-cutting gifts and ornaments done, I’ve gone ahead to assemble them and then, I started off the assembling for the card.
As for the card assembling, I went ahead to trim off a large panel out of one of the lightest colored cardstock and then, I added a few lines using my scoring board to add a bit of texture to it. Next, I adhered the backing of it with double-sided adhesive to a slimline white card base. Lastly, I mounted the train over the card and then, I’ve got mounted the presents and ornaments to the wagons (as you can see in the image above.) To finish the card off, I mounted a foam sticker to use it as the card sentiment and last but not least, I’ve also adhered some of the gemstones adhere down to the card to add an extra touch of shine.
For the sixth and last example, I made something a bit different, as I made a 6-1/4” X 6-1/4” inches project. So therefore, I went ahead to trim off a piece of white cardstock to 6-1/4” X 6-1/4” inches and then, I’ve gotten adhere down the backing of one of the patterned paper sheets to it with double-sided adhesive.
Soon after that I had the patterned paper sheet adhered to the cardstock piece, I went ahead to select some of die cut shapes, so I could create a large christmas tree shape with them. To create dimension, I used square foam adhesives and liquid adhesives and to finish it off, I mounted the large foiled die cut shape with the Christmas sentiment. And, to compliment it I’ve had also mounted a smaller die cut shape creating that way the complete look for this project. Last but not least, I’ve gone ahead to adhere down some pink gemstones to resemble some shine.
By the way, I’d like to mention that this project fits perfectly inside of an 8x8 frame in case you want to gift to special one a handmade Christmas frame.
