Spellbinders NOV-2021 CSOM ┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an extra dimensional set of “Holiday” inspiration cards made using “Around The Holidays” NOV-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders which now comes as pack with its coordinating die set → Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club Kit. Besides that, to make this set of holiday cards, I paired this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit, Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club Kit. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example I made a quick and simple any occasion card, as this can be used as a birthday card as well. Thus, I went ahead to place inside my MISTI Stamping Tool a white card panel, then I’ve got lined up over it the gifts curvy stamp image along with one of the curvy sentiment stamp image including in this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit to get it stamped with embossing ink. Once, I’ve got the stamping done, I quickly went ahead to add Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder over the stamped image and as soon as I did that, I’ve got the embossing powder heat set it using my hot embossing gun tool.

Next, I repeated the same steps to get a second curvy image stamped and heat embossing in the same way as I did for the first one. Thus, as soon as I finished doing that, I went ahead to line up the curvy die including in Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club Kit to get the curvy edge cut out from the card panel. Then, for the second stamped image, I went ahead to use the mini gift dies including in the set to get the gifts cut out from the cardstock. And, once I’ve got that step done, I’ve gone ahead to mount the mini gifts over the shaped panel using square foam adhesives to add a little bit of dimension to them.

Next, to create the card base I went ahead to line up the curvy die over the front flap of an A2 size side folding white card base to cut out the curvy edge from it. Then, to create the layers, I cut out another curvy edge out of gold cardstock which, right afterwards I’ve got them layered over to the front flap of the card. At first, I thought about leaving a simply white and gold card design, but the, I decided to add a pop of color to the inside of the card which it’s also seem in front of the card since, I cut half part of it out from the front flap to create the curvy layered line.

Taking advantage that the front flap from the card is smaller than the bottom flap, I decided to mark a scoring line and folding it over using my Scoring Board and Teflon bone folder to create a mini shaped card display or just a fun fold to it. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down some tiny and sparkling light pink jewels around the gifts to add an extra pop of shine to the card.

For the second example, I went ahead to create a die-cutting pattern over 2/3 of an A2 size white card panel using one of the curvy dies including in this month’s Large Die of the Month Club kit.

Once, I’ve got that done, I went ahead to trim off the edges from it a little smaller than the card base and then, I’ve got it layered over to another panel, a panel which I’ve got trimmed off from the same-colored cardstock that I used in the previous example. Then, for the card embellishments, I used the individual dies including in this month’s Large Die of the Month Club kit along with white cardstock to create the holiday cluster which, I’ve got it mounted over the upper side of the card. As for the lower side of the card, I used one of the curvy hot foil plates including in this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club kit along with a small piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass + my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine for the hot foil stamping process. Also, I used the coordinating die to cut out the foil stamped image from the cardstock. Last but not least, I used one of the curvy stamp images including in this month’s Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club Kit as well to add the card sentiment to the card.

Moving on, to finish the card off, I’ve got the backing of the layered card panel adhered over an A2 size top folding white card base using craft foam and double-sided adhesive to add dimension to it, and as a finishing touch, I’ve got gluing down some of the same tiny light pink jewels to add an extra pop of shine to the card.

For the last example, I went ahead to use the same curvy die I used to make the die-cutting pattern over the last example, however this time instead of using it to die-cut the upper part of the card panel, I only used it to create a little die-cutting accent in the lower side of an A2 size white card panel. Also, I used the individual dies that I used as well to create the holiday floral cluster. So, as you can see I’ve got the holiday cluster mounted under the die-cutting edge over the card panel.

Thus, I used one of the curvy stamp sentiments to get the card sentiment stamped and heat emboss it. Lastly, I used the ornament dies including in this month’s Small Die of the Month Club, ornaments which I’ve got die-cut out of white cardstock and got inked up using Glow, Fug and Quince inks by Pigment Craft Co. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to layer the inked and hand stitched ornaments over glitter cardstock and then, I’ve got them mounted over the card panel (as shown in the image above.) Panel, which I’ve had gotten previously trim down and mounted over a colored card panel, to keep it simple, I used the same hue cardstock used for the previous example for a cohesive look and the light pink jewels to add an extra pop of shine to the card.

With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this extra dimensional set of “Holiday” inspiration cards showcasing “Around The Holidays” Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders.
