Spellbinders Liberty Collection┃Inspiration Card

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very colorful “Slimline” inspiration card made showcasing some of the latest stamp and stencil sets from the newest, Liberty Collection by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

Therefore, this collection includes Sun Burst Stencil which is a large stencil with a perfect size to either create a slimline or an A2 size card. That said, I took the advantage from it to create the sunburst effect directly over my slimline white card base. So, to do that, I went ahead to line up the stencil over the card and then, I placed them both over my Make Art - Stay-tion and once I had them both in place, I’ve gone ahead to place over it the magnets to secure them both in place.

Thus, to get the inking over the card base, I went ahead to use a few ink blending brushed along with the following color combination; Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, and Abandoned Coral. As, for the ink blending, I started from the center to the edges of the slimline card base.

Moving on, after having the ink blending completed over the card base, I went ahead to set it off aside so, I could start the die-cutting process for the car. As, for the car, I used the dies including in Shapeabilities Sunday Drive Etched Dies to die-cut the pieces out of white, black, and gold cardstock. Thus, as soon as I had all die-cutting pieces completed for the car, I went ahead to get it assembled and then, I glued it down in the lower side of the card Then, to add the clouds, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the cloud dies including in Die D-Lites Sun and Clouds Etched Dies and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut them out of white cardstock, and once I had a few die-cutting clouds, I went ahead to adhere them down ( as shown in the image above) on the upper side of the card.

Lastly, after having the car and clouds adhered to the card, I went ahead to embellish the card by adding a sentiment which I had previously heat emboss on one of the die-cutting pieces for the car using gold embossing powder and one of the sentiments included in newest Sunday Drive All-Occasion Sentiments Clear Stamp Set. Then, I also glued down with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue some of the pre-made flowers that I created using some of the dies from Mini Blooms and Sprigs Etched Dies. Nevertheless, I went ahead to add shimmer to the tires using a glittery mixing which I have inside my Nuvo Aqua Flow - Water Brush and to add even more shine, I also added Glossy Accent for an extra glossy look.

Last but not least, I went ahead to add a little sparkle by adhering down here and there some of the self-adhesive Crystal Mix Color Essentials Gems.
