Spellbinders KOM OCT-2022┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you another set of holiday inspiration cards made with a “Fun & Colorful” look using: "Oh What Fun!" Cardmaking Club of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example as per usual with every card making kit club, I started by using the die set included in the kit. Thus, I went ahead to use the dies along with the cardstock hues also included in the kit to die cut each piece for the Santa and Christmas Tree using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine for the die-cutting process.

Next, after getting the die-cutting step completed, I proceeded to get the Santa and the Christmas Tree assembled and, once I had that done, I quickly move on to put them off aside to get the Noel sentiment cut out from Gold cardstock using the die included in the kit as well. Then, I added dimension to the Noel sentiment by layering some plain white die-cutting sentiments underneath the gold one and, as soon as, I had that step completed, I got the card assembling started.

So, for the card assembling, I used one of the patterned paper sheets included in the paper pad; sheet which right afterwards I had gotten trim down smaller than the card base using my Paper Trimmer. Lastly, I went ahead to get the smaller panel adhered to one of the textured card base and then, I got the Christmas tree gluing down to the front card panel of the card while, I got the Santa mounted with a cardmaking paper spring not only to add dimension but a pop-up and fun effect as well. That being said, after getting the Santa mounted to the front card panel, I went ahead to finish the card off by adding the dimensional die-cutting Noel sentiment along with a sub-sentiment which, I had gotten previously stamp and heat embossing on a cardstock strip using one of the card sentiments included in the stamp set from the kit.

For the second example, I made a colorful framed card. so, to do that, I went ahead to trim down one of the patterned paper sheets a little smaller than the card base and then, I got the backing of it adhered to one of the textured card bases. Next, I proceeded to select the die-cut shapes, chipboard frame and chipboard sticker sentiment that I was going to use to get the card embellished and once, I had that done, I moved on to get the card assembling started.

Having that said, as soon as, I had finished selecting all pieces, I’ve gone ahead to get the frame adhered to the front card panel. Next, I went ahead to get the Christmas gifts mounted over the lower part of the frame and then, I created a smaller floral cluster on the upper left side of the card and, I also added a bow to the opposite upper side. Lastly, I went ahead to get the last die-cut shaped adhered in the center of the card and then to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the chipboard sticker words adhered to the lower center part of the card front panel creating that way, the card sentiment and the decorative framed design.

Lastly, for the card example, I went ahead to make a sweet card design with a Gingerbread look so, to do that, I went ahead to trim down a patterned paper sheet a little smaller than the card base and then, I got the backing of it adhered to one of the textured card bases. Then, I proceeded to select the gingerbread die cut shapes along with the gingerbread house to get the card front panel embellished with them.

Then, once I had the die cut shapes adhered to the card, I went ahead to finish the card off by adding more of the smaller die cut shapes along with the card sentiment to get the finish look; a card sentiment which, I had previously stamped and heat embossing on a piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiments included in the stamp set from the cardmaking kit. Finally, as finishing touches, I went ahead to glue down some of the sequins included in the kit club to the second and last example to add them an extra touch of shine.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of holiday inspiration cards with a “Fun & Colorful” look using: "Oh What Fun!"
