Spellbinders DOM OCT-2022┃Inspiration Card

Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a clean and simple yet, extra dimensional and textured inspiration card with a “Christmas Greetings” look made showcasing the latest: OCT-2022 "Outlined Christmas Sentiments" Small Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Small Die of the Month Club includes a combination of dies that cut out the shadow or base layer along with their coordinating dies that cut out their outlined or top layer if you will. Also, the club kit includes some dies that cut out the beautiful blooming holiday cluster.

That being said, I went ahead to line up the shadow layer dies over the die cut plate from my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to get them cut out from white cardstock. Next, I went to repeat the same step to cut out a few more layers because, I was planning on using them to add dimension to the card sentiment. Thus, after getting that done, I’ve gone ahead to cut out the top layers for them and, to do get that done, I used mirrored gold cardstock.

So, after getting the die-cutting steps completed, I proceeded to layer over the delicate top layer over their white bases and then, I went ahead to put the layered sentiments aside. Meanwhile, I added texture to an A2 size white card panel using the dry embossing technique. Thereupon, to do that, I used this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month Club to create a white-on-white delicate and textured dry embossing effect over the card panel. Then, right after that I had that step done, I proceeded to use the small dies to cut out the holiday floral clusters from traditional holiday cardstock hues.

Once, I had gotten the die-cutting step for the holiday floral clusters, I had gone ahead to put the floral clusters together and the I put them off aside because, I got the idea to add more texture to the card by going to get the die-cutting step done for the smaller dotted white card panel. Afterwards, when I had all pieces cut out and the floral cluster out together, I moved on to get the card assembling started. By the way, I used the dies included in Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies to cut out the dotted card panel.

Thus, for the card assembling, I went ahead to trim off 1/4 of an inch from the textured front card panel and then, I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I went ahead to get the backing of the smaller dotted panel mounted over the textured panel using craft foam adhesive to add dimension between them. Lastly, I went ahead to get gluing down the holiday floral cluster in the upper right and lower left corners of the dotted card panel. Then, to finish the card off, I proceeded to add three of the dimensional die-cutting and layered words that I created earlier to create the card sentiment with them.

Finally, as finishing touches, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the jewels in the center of the flowers and then, I added Glossy Accent to the berries to add the card an extra touch of shine. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this clean and simple yet, extra dimensional and textured inspiration card with a “Christmas Greetings” look showcasing the latest: OCT-2022 "Outlined Christmas Sentiments" Small Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
