Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you a set of 3 standard A2 size cards and a mini slimline inspiration card with a very “Colorful Vibe” made using Die Cut Shapes, Chipboard Stickers, Stamp Set, Die Set and the Patterned Paper Pad including in JUN-2021 “Wild Hello” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step for how I’ve made them ↓
Therefore, as per usual with every Spellbinders’ Card Kit of the Month, I’ve started off by selecting the die cut shapes and patterned paper sheets that I was going to use to create each card, so I went ahead to trim off the edges from this beautiful patterned paper sheet using my Tim Holtz - 8.5 Inch Comfort Paper Trimmer to H 5.0’’ x W 3-3/4’’ inches and then, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhered with double-sided foam adhesive to one of the textured white card bases included in the card kit. Once , I had that step done, I went ahead to set the card base aside while I started the layering for the focal point of the card.
Thus, as for the focal point for this card, I went ahead to select some of the journal cards included in the kit and then, I’ve gotten them stapled together creating a slightly fan form design with them.
Lastly, once I had create it I went ahead to get the layered journal cards mounted over the card using some of foam square foam adhesives including in the card kit to add dimension and then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue some crystal sequins to add a touch of shine.
For the second example, I created a double folding so to do that, I went ahead to adhere together with the double-sided tape including in the card kit 2 of the textured white card bases and once I had that step done, I quickly went ahead to trim off using my paper trimmer one of the front flaps of the card to 3.0” inches. Therefore, as soon as I had finished doing that, I went ahead to select 2 of the patterned paper sheets from the paper pad which, right afterwards I’ve gotten adhered down with double-sided adhesive a smaller piece from one of the to the smaller front flap of the card.
Next, I also went ahead to adhere down with double-sided adhesive the other patterned paper piece to the larger flap of the card as well. And, once I had that step done, I set the card base aside while I started the die-cutting using one of the decorative border dies including in the kit.
That said, for the die-cutting process, I went ahead to line up over a piece of white cardstock one of the decorative dies including in the kit and once I had that step done, I quickly went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine thus, as soon as the die-cutting hello border was completed, I went ahead to die-cut a few more out of white cardstock and once out of gold cardstock as I wanted to add dimension to it. Therefore, after all die-cutting pieces were completed, I stacked them all and then, I went ahead to glue down the dimensional and decorative hello border edge to edge with the smaller front flap (as shown in the image above.) Then, as for the inside of the card, I decided to add a surprise touch by adhering down 1/4 of an inch from one of the journal cards which can be lift up to read the hiding message underneath it.
A message which, I’ve gotten stamped with embossing ink and heat embossing with gold embossing powder using one of the sentiments including in the stamp set from the kit. Lastly, to finish the card off, I added a touch of sparkle by gluing down some crystal sequins as I did for the first example.
For the third example, I created a mini slimline card base so to do that, I went ahead to use the white cardstock including in the kit in the first place to create the mini slimline card base. Thus, I trimmed off a piece of white cardstock out of the white cardstock sheet that measured 6 x 6 inches and then, I scored a line at the 3.0 inches mark and once I had that done, I folded it in half creating that way my mini slimline card base with H 6.0” x W 3.0” inches dimension.
Next, for the card assembling, I went ahead to trim down a smaller card panel out one of the patterned paper sheets and then, I’ve gotten the backing of it adhere down to the card base with double-sided adhesive. Nevertheless, I glued down some die-cut shapes with liquid glue and some of them with square foam adhesives creating that way with them a birthday mini slimline card.
Lastly, because I always love to decor de inside of the plain white envelopes including in the kit using patterned paper sheets from the paper pad to coordinate the cards, I decided to create my own mini slimline envelope as well using white cardstock and one of the patterned paper sheets from the pad to decor the inside of it. By the way, the dimension from my mini slimline envelope are W 6/14” x H 3-/2” inches.
For the last example, I decided to trim off 1/2 piece of one of the color cardstock and 1/2 piece of one of the patterned paper sheets to create the card front panel. Therefore, once I had that done, I went ahead to adhere them both down with double-sided adhesive to one of the white textured card bases. And, as soon as I had that step done, I went ahead to set the card base off to the side while I started the die-cutting process using another decorative border die including in the kit.
So, the second decorative border dies says Happy Birthday, so I went ahead to create a birthday card using the dimensional decorative die-cutting border which, I’ve had created in the same way as I did in the second example. Then, I also got mounted a die cut shape that had balloons to coordinate the =birthday theme, and then to finish the card off, I added a touch of sparkle as well by gluing down here and there some of the crystal sequins.
With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of 3 standard A2 size cards and a mini slimline inspiration card with a very “Colorful Vibe” using Die Cut Shapes, Chipboard Stickers, Stamp Set, Die Set and the Patterned Paper Pad including in JUN-2021 “Wild Hello” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders.
