Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you a very colorful “Birthday” inspiration card made with a combination of “Sweet & Snarky Birthday Wishes” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and “Colorblock Circles & Stripes” Large Die of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
Therefore, I started by setting up my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine over my Crafter's Essential Cutting and Alignment Mat and then, right after I went ahead to turn on the glimmer hot foil platform. And, while my platform was heating up, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the large glimmer plate including in this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club.
Soon after that I had the glimmer plate line up over the white cardstock piece, I went ahead to cut a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass using the Quick Trimmer. And, once the glimmer hot foil platform was ready to foil, I went ahead to get the foiling done over the white cardstock piece by running the platform through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Therefore, as soon as the foiling stamping was completed, I went ahead to line up the coordinating die including also in the club kit to die-cut the foiled sentiment out of the white cardstock.
Once, I had that step completed, I went ahead to repeat the same step 4 more times to die-cut the large sentiment out of white cardstock. Therefore, right after that I had finished doing that, I’ve gone ahead to stacked them together and then, I went ahead to set it off aside. Meanwhile, to create the colorful background, I went ahead to use one of the circles dies including in this month’s Large Die of the Month to die-cut a bunch of outlined circles out of Pink Sand Cardstock, Dahlia Cardstock, Beeswax Cardstock, Saffron Cardstock, Persimmon Cardstock, Rainforest Cardstock and Teal Topaz Cardstock.
So, as soon as I’ve had finished die-cutting all outlined circles, I went ahead to set them off to the side while, I also got some die-cutting white stripes die-cut out of white cardstock using the stripes die which is including in the club kit as well. Having that said, as soon as I had finished die-cutting the white stripes, I’ve gone ahead to start the assembling for the card. Therefore, I started by gluing down the white stripes over an A2 size white card panel using Bearly Art Mini Precision Craft Glue and then, I went ahead to create the background pattern (as shown in the image above) by gluing down in a color blocking way, some of the outlined die-cutting circles which I’ve had previously die-cut out of color cardstock.
Moving on, as soon as I had finished creating the color blocking card panel using the die-cutting circles, I went ahead to trim off the edges from the card panel a bit smaller that the card base using my Tim Holtz - 8.5 Inch Comfort Paper Trimmer, and once I had that step done, I quickly went ahead to adhere down the card panel to an A2 side folding white card base using double-sided adhesive.
Lastly, once the front panel for the card was completely adhered, I went ahead to glue down over the card the dimensional hot foil stamped sentiment and to finish the card off, I mounted a smaller hot foil stamped sentiment which I’ve had previously created using one of the smaller sentiments including in this month’s club kit as well.
Last but not least, as a finishing touch, I went ahead to adhere down here and there some of the self-adhesive Crystal Mix Color Essentials Gems to add a little extra pop of shine!
And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this colorful “Birthday” inspiration card made with a combination of “Sweet & Snarky Birthday Wishes” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and “Colorblock Circles & Stripes” Large Die of the Month by Spellbinders.
