Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this set of “Summer” inspiration cards made using “Circle of Sunshine” JUN-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit which pairs perfectly with this month’s Small Die of the Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓
Therefore, for the first example I created a beautiful Sunset scenic sky so to do that, I started by I used a piece of masking tape at the mark of 2-1/4’’ inches from an A2 size white card panel to create a horizon line. Next, I went ahead to ink up the Sunset sky over the card panel over the middle point of it using an ink blending brushes along with a combination of Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, Abandoned Coral, Festive Berries and Picked Raspberry.
Thus, once I had finished the ink blending for the first half of the card panel, I went ahead to remove the masking tape from the card panel, and then, I proceeded to place it edge to edge over the inked side of the card panel to repeat the same steps over the lower side of the card panel to create the sky reflection over the Sea.
Moving on, right after I had finished the ink blending for the sky and reflection over the card panel, I went ahead to place it inside my MISTI Stamping Tool to get the partial sun stamp image from Clear Stamp of the Month Club stamped twice (as shown in the image above) using a combination of Marigold Ink and Clementine Ink. Next, I added refection to the sea foam using, a sponge and white acrylic paint. And, right after I had finished that step, I went ahead to trim off the edges from it to H 5.0’’ x W 3-3/4’’ inches and then, I’ve gotten the backing of the card panel adhere down using a piece of craft foam and double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base to add dimension. Lastly, I’ve gotten stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set over a piece of white cardstock with Detail Black Ink and then, I mounted it over the card using square foam adhesives to add dimension. Last but not least to finish the card off, I went ahead to stamp 2 bird silhouette groups on each side of the sentiment using the stamp images from the set and black ink as well.
As, I mentioned at the beginning of this post, the sentiments from this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Club works perfectly with Large Die of the Month Club. Therefore, I went ahead to create a mini slimline card so to do that, I trimmed down a 6’’ x 6’’ inches white card panel using a large piece of white cardstock and my Tim Holtz - 8.5 Inch Comfort Paper Trimmer to create the mini slimline white card base. Next, I went ahead to score a line at the 3’’ inches point mark and then, I folded it in half.
Thus, after having the mini slimline card base completed, I went ahead to set it off aside and then, I went ahead to line up the stripes die included in Large Die of the Month Club over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Once, I had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to adhere down with double-sided tape a large and 2 medium white die-cutting strips in the center of the card base. Next, I went ahead to line up the swirl looking die from the set and then, I went ahead to die-cut it out twice from white cardstock and once out of gold cardstock. As soon as I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to stack the die-cutting pieces together and then, I’ve gotten glue down the dimensional piece using, Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue over the card (as you can see in the image above.)
Moving on, for the dimensional circles, I used the circle die that die-cut 6 outlined circles from the set to die-cut them out a few times out of White Cardstock and one time out of Pink Sand Cardstock, Dahlia Cardstock, Saffron Cardstock, Persimmon Cardstock, Rainforest Cardstock and Teal Topaz Cardstock. Once I had those steps done, I’ve gone ahead to also use one of the solid circle dies to die-cut 2 solid white circle bases. Therefore, to create each dimensional inlaid colored outline circles over the white circle bases, I went ahead to increase dimension by layering over a white and a colored die-cutting outlined circles for the light pink. 2 whites and a darker pink, and so on and so forth I continued increasing dimension until I got to the teal solid die-cutting circle. Last but not least, I also went ahead to die-cut a second solid white circle and then, I went ahead to stamp and heat embossing over it a sentiment from JUN-2021 CSOM using embossing ink and gold heat embossing powder. And, to finish the card off I mounted the stamped and heat embossed sentiment in the center of the mini slimline card base followed by the 2-dimensional circles.
As, I mentioned before the sentiments from JUN-2021 CSOM, also work perfectly with Small Die of the Month Club so therefore, to create this morning scene. I went ahead to line up the dies from the set that creates the mountains and hills over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I ran them through the die-cutting machine. Once, I had finished that step, I went ahead to get them ink up using a combination of Vintage Photo, Frayed Burlap and Pumice Stone distress oxide inks and once I got them inked up I set them off to the side.
Thus, as soon as I had finished doing that, I went ahead to ink up an A2 size white card panel using Sea Glass Ink and once I had that done, I went ahead to set it off aside. Meanwhile, I used the color block die as well including in the set to die-cut 6 die-cutting pieces out of Beeswax Cardstock. Therefore, after I had finished die-cutting them all, I went ahead to glue down each of them with liquid glue over the inked card panel to create the sun rays for the scene. Lastly, I adhered the pieces together with double-sided tape to create hills scene and then, I went ahead to mount them with craft foam adhesive to add dimension over the card panel.
Lastly, for the card sentiment, I stamped, and I also gold heat emboss one of the sentiments from the stamp set over a yellow die-cutting circle. And, then I’ve gotten it mounted over with craft foam adhesive to the card panel to finishing the sunny sky. Then, I went ahead to glue down some cactus which I’ve had previously created using the cactus die including along with white cardstock and Cactus Ink. Last but not least, to finish the card off I went ahead to mount the card panel with craft foam and double-sided tape to add dimension over an A2 size top folding white card base.
Finally, as a finishing touch I went ahead to glue down here and there some Crystal Confetti to add a touch of shine! And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of “Summer” inspiration cards using the latest “Circle of Sunshine” JUN-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit along with this month’s Small Die of the Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
