Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you a set of 4 inspiration cards made with a “Whimsy Look” using Die Cut Shapes, Chipboard Stickers, Stamp Set, Die Set, Gems and the Patterned Paper Pad including in JUL-2021 “Damask Daydream” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step for how I’ve made them ↓
Therefore, as per usual with every Spellbinders’ Card Kit of the Month, I’ve started off by selecting the die cut shapes and patterned paper sheets that I was going to use to create each card, so I went ahead to trim off the edges from this beautiful patterned paper sheet with gold foil accents using my Comfort Paper Trimmer to H 5.0’’ x W 3-3/4’’ inches and then, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhered with the double-sided adhesive including in the kit to one of the textured white card bases included in the card kit as well. Once , I had that step done, I went ahead to set the card base off to the side while I started the layering for the focal point of it.
Thus, as for the focal point for this card, I went ahead to select some of the die cut shapes along with some of the chipboard stickers, and once I had them selected, I quickly went ahead to layer them all up to the left side of the card.
Lastly, as soon as I had them layer up over the card base, I went ahead to glue down 2 of them using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue while the others using the square craft foam adhesives which are including in the kit as well. Then, to finish the card off, I used one of the die cut shaped with a banner look which included a sentiment and to add a pop a shine, I also went ahead to adhere down here and there some of the self-adhesive gems which by the way are including in the kit as well.
For the second example, I created a quick and simple card, yet extra dimensional. So, to make it, I went ahead to trim off the edges of this striped patterned paper with foil accents and then, I’ve gotten it adhere down to one of the white textured card bases using double-sided adhesive.
Once, I had the front card panel adhered to the card base, I went ahead to select some of the large die cut shapes and then, I’ve gotten some of them glue down with liquid glue and others with square foam adhesives creating that a floral cluster with a combination of die cut sentiments as well.
With that said, to finish the card off, I went ahead to adhere down here and there some of the self-adhesive gems to add a pop of shine to it.
This month’s club kit includes some beautiful 3D-dimensional butterflies stickers as well so, to create the third example, I went ahead to trim off the edges from one of the patterned paper sheets from the pad and then, I went ahead to get the backing adhered to one of the textured white card bases.
Next, as I mentioned above, I went ahead to use 2 of the dimensional butterflies stickers therefore, I’ve gotten them adhere to the card base. Then, I created a full card sentiment by mounting a few die cut shapes that include words (as shown in the image above.)
And, once the butterfly stickers and sentiments were adhered to the card, I went ahead to finish the card off by adhering here and there some of the self-adhesive gems to add an extra touch of shine as well.
For the last example, I kept it simple by using the left-over pieces from the 2 previous cards therefore, I went ahead to trim off the edges from one of the textured white card bases to use it as card front panel and then, I’ve gotten adhered the backing of it to one of the white card bases using double-sided adhesive.
Next, I adhered in the center of the front card panel the striped patterned paper piece and then, I went ahead to mount the other patterned paper piece (as shown in the image above) using craft foam and double-sided adhesive to create dimension between them both. Once, I had those steps done, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the large die including in this month’s kit and once I had them both line up, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut not only one but 2 white die-cutting pieces so I could create the floral frame for the card.
Last but not least, I went ahead to put together both die-cutting pieces to create the floral frame and then, I’ve gotten it adhered in the center of the card in a diagonal way. Then, to finish the card off, I mounted a die cut shape in a circle shape and I adhered down here and there some of the self-adhesive gems to compliment the shine in the whole set. With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of 4 inspiration cards made with a “Whimsy Look” using Die Cut Shapes, Chipboard Stickers, Stamp Set, Die Set, Gems and the Patterned Paper Pad including in JUL-2021 “Damask Daydream” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders.
