Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this set of “Mini Slimline Floral” inspiration cards made using “Sending Floral Wishes” JUL-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit which pairs perfectly with this month’s Small Die of the Month Club, Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓
Therefore, for the first example, I created a beautiful floral background panel by stamping the large floral stamp image including in this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit. Thus, to do that, I went ahead to stamp the floral stamp image over the upper left and lower right corners with Detail Black Ink. A mini slimline card panel that measured H 6-1/2 x W 3-1/2 inches which, by the way I’ve gotten trimmed down out of a large piece of Bristol Smooth Paper.
Having that said, as soon as I had finished stamping both floral cluster over the card panel, I went ahead to get the floral clusters watercolor in using red, orange, and pink hues for the flowers plus, green hues for the leaves. Hues, which I’ve had previously mixed on my mixing palette using hues from my Mijello Mission Gold Water Color Palette.
Moving forward, after I had finished water-coloring the floral clusters, I went ahead to let them dry and once they were completely dry, I quickly went ahead to stamp one of the sentiments including in the stamp set using once again detailed black ink (as shown in the image above.) Lastly, after I’ve had finished stamping the card sentiment, I went ahead to trim off the edges of the card panel using my Comfort Paper Trimmer. Therefore, as soon as that step was completed, I’ve proceeded to adhere the backing of it to a mini slimline white card base using, craft foam and double-sided adhesive to add a bit of dimension to it. Finally, after having the card completed, I went ahead to add a pop of sparkle by gluing down here and there some of the self-adhesive Crystal Mix Color Essentials Gems.
For the second example, I kept it quite simple, by stamping and water-coloring once again the large floral cluster from the stamp set in the exact way as I did for the previous example. That said, as soon as I had finished stamping and getting the water-coloring process for it done, I’ve gone ahead to fussy cut out the floral cluster from the Bristol paper piece using a small pair of scissors and then, I set it off aside while I’ve gone ahead to die-cut the detailed and die-cutting front card panel.
As, for the die-cutting front card panel, I used this month’s Small Die of the Month Club which includes 5 intricate dies which if you line up 3 of them creates the beautiful die-cutting details for a mini slimline card background. That said, I went ahead to line up the outer and inner dies that create the detailed card background and then, I’ve gotten them secured using small pieces of washi tape. Next, I lined them up over a large piece of white cardstock, and once I had that step done, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Moving on, as soon as the die-cutting process was completed, I went ahead to use my Tool ‘n One brush head to take all the negative pieces out of it. And, once I had that done, I went ahead to line up the outer die only to die-cut a solid die-cutting piece.
Therefore, as soon as I had finished the die-cutting process, I went ahead to glue down the detailed and die-cutting panel over the solid die-cut piece using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. And, then I’ve gotten the detailed frame mounted with craft foam and double-sided adhesive to a mini slimline white card base. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount the floral cluster using square foam adhesives to add dimension over the upper left corner of the card, and last but not least, I also went ahead to mount the card sentiment which, I’ve had previously stamped with black ink over a white die-cutting piece which, I created by using the smaller dies including as well in this month’s small die of the month. Nevertheless, I decided to adhere down as well some of the crystal gems adding that way an extra touch of shine to the card!
After, that I’ve had used twice for both previous examples the large floral cluster stamp image including in this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Club, I decided to incorporate the single flower stamp image as well. Therefore, I went ahead to stamp the image twice over a large piece of Bristol Smooth paper and then, I’ve gotten them both water-coloring using the same hues as I did for the previous example for a cohesive look.
Thus, as soon as I had finished water-coloring the small flowers, I went ahead to fussy cut them out of the paper piece using a small pair of scissors and then, I set them off aside to start the assembling for the card.
As, for the card assembling, I went ahead to create the card panel, so to do that first, I went ahead to die-cut a scalloped frame out of white cardstock using one of the dies including in this month’s Large Die of the Month Club. Second, I added a foil stamping touch to the scalloped die-cutting frame as well by using a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass and one of the hot glimmer plates including in this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club. Third, I repeated the same step to create 2 smaller pieces and then, I’ve gotten them all layered up creating that way a dimension die-cutting/hot foil stamped front card panel.
Lastly, after having the layout completed for the dimensional card panel, I went ahead to adhere the backing of it with craft foam and double-sided adhesive to a mini slimline white card base and then, to embellish the card off, I went ahead to die-cut a few leaves and greenery out of white cardstock using the smaller dies including in the large die of the month, because I wanted to create a small floral cluster with them as well as with the small flowers. Having that said, I went ahead to mount the floral cluster over the left side of the cards and then, I finished the card off by stamping the card sentiment next to the floral cluster (as you can see in the image above.) Last but not least, I’ve also adhered down here and there some of the crystal gems to compliment the shine for the whole set of cards.
Finally, as a finishing touch I went ahead to add white dots to the flowers using a brush and white acrylic paint. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of “Mini Slimline Floral” inspiration cards using this month’s “Sending Floral Wishes” JUL-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit which by the way, pairs perfectly with this month’s Small Die of the Month Club, Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
