Spellbinders GOM OCT-2022┃Inspiration Card

Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you a shaped inspiration card with an extra “Glimmering & Dimensional” look made using "Poinsettia Spray" OCT-2022 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, I went ahead to start off by getting the hot foil stamping done over a large piece of white cardstock. Thus, for the hot foil stamping process, I went ahead to use the glimmer plate s included in the kit along with the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine + a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Matte Gold.

Thus, right after that I had gotten finished the hot foil stamping over the piece of white cardstock, I proceeded to add a pop of color to the poinsettia cluster with traditional holiday hues using alcohol markers as my color media. Next, as soon as, I had gotten the poinsettia cluster colored, I moved on to use the coordinating dies included in the kit to die cut it out from the cardstock piece. Also, I used the coordinating dies to cut the card sentiments at the same time and, once I had that done, I put them off aside to create the shaped card base.

Thus, to create the card base, I went ahead to use the second-to-large die included in Essential Arches Etched Dies to cut out two arch shapes from white cardstock. So, after getting them cut out from white cardstock, I proceeded to place one down over my Scoring Board to trace a scoring line in the left side of it at 1/4 of an inch using one of the Teflon bone folders from Craft Treat Teflon Bone Folder set. That being said, after getting the scoring line traced over it, I proceeded to fold it outward and then, I added a line of Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to the top part of the fold to get the second die cut shape gluing down over the folded edge creating that way the arched shape card base.

Moving on, after getting the card base assembled, I went ahead to cut out a second arched shape white piece for layering but this time, I added some texture to it using this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month Club so, after getting the texture added to the shaped panel, I went ahead to layered over the shaped card and then, I use two of the dies from the set to create a arched frame and to do that, I used gold cardstock to add an extra metallic accent.

Consequently, after getting the die-cutting process the shaped frame done, I went ahead to get the card assembling started. So first, I went head to glue down the poinsettia cluster to the left side of the shaped card. Second, I went ahead to mount the shaped frame using Double Sided Adhesive Foam Strips to raise some dimension and lastly, I added the card sentiment in the upper right side of the card. At first, I thought of leaving it without adding anything else but then, I decided to finish the card off by adding a bow to the top center part of the card so, to create the die-cutting bow, I used the dies included in Create a Flutter & Flower Bow Etched Dies.

And, with that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this shaped inspiration card with an extra “Glimmering & Dimensional” look using "Poinsettia Spray" OCT-2022 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders.
