Spellbinders Glimmer Greetings Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a holiday season’s set of inspiration cards with a “White-on white & Glimmering” look to showcase, the latest Glimmer Greetings Collection by Spellbinders. Which includes: Glimmer Essential Solid Arch Hot Foil Plate, Essential Arches Etched Dies, Glimmer Essential Solid Diamond Hot Foil Plate, Essential Diamonds Etched Dies, Blooming Tree Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set, Blooming Ornament Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set, Merry Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set, Plaid Tidings Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Crossed Lines Cardfront Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. Besides that, I used Holiday Blooms Etched Dies and Stylish Merry Christmas Etched Dies sets from the Celebrate the Season Collection to add the large Christmas sentiment to one of the cards and the dimensional holiday blooming effect to another one. So, without further ado let’s jump right in to the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, I started off by getting the hot foil stamping process done using, Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine along with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll: Aura. Thus, for the first example, I went ahead to use Glimmer Essential Solid Arch Hot Foil Plate to get the arch shape hot foil stamped over an A2 size white card panel. Next, I used one of the coordinating dies included in Essential Arches Etched Dies to cut out an arch window from another A2 size white card panel because, I wanted to add a shaker effect to the card. Next, once I had added the arch shaker window to the white card panel, I went ahead to use one of the glimmer plates included in Glitter Wishes Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to add the card sentiment in the bottom part of the front card panel.

Once, I had finished adding the card sentiment over the front card pane, I went ahead to trim down 1/4 of an inch from each side of both front card panels and then, I created the shaker window using pieces of craft foam adhesive to add dimension, a piece of acetate to seal the shaker window and lastly, glittery snow to use it as the shaker elements. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the backing of the shaker panel adhered over an A2 size white card base and then, I added the cute glimmering Christmas tree along with some die-cutting and glimmering greenery pieces; a Christmas tree and pieces which, I had gotten previously hot foil stamped using the same foil roll and the glimmering plates included in Blooming Tree Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set.

For the second example, I made an arch shaped card so, to do that, I used the second-to-last die included in arch die set to create the card base. Thus, to create the card base, I went ahead to cut out 2 pieces and then, I added a scoring line to one of them to create a hinge to get both pieces adhered from the left side. That said, after I had finished creating the card base, I went ahead to use 2 smaller dies from the same set to cut out a medium and small arch panels. The medium arch panel from a hot foil stamped background which, I had previously created using Crossed Lines Cardfront Glimmer Hot Foil Plates and the smaller arch panel from plain white cardstock.

Moving on, as soon as, I had finished cutting the medium and small size arch panels, I proceeded to layer them over the card base. And, then right after that, I moved on to finish the card off by getting it embellished using the hot foil stamped images that I had previously hot foil stamped using the glimmer plates and dies included in Blooming Ornament Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. Also, by adding its dimensional card sentiment which, I created using some of the glimmer plates and dies from Merry Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. By the way, I used the solid glimmer plate to create the reverse hot foil stamping look for the sentiment.

For the third example, I specifically used the Solid Hot Foil Plate to do the reverse hot foil stamping for the foil background that I had leftover from the previous example, I could have gone and use Essential Glimmer Solid Rectangle Glimmer Hot Foil Plate as well but this plate it’s a little smaller and I wanted the full effect on the reverse hot foiling. So, having that said, after I had finished adding the reverse hot foil stamping to a white card pane, I went ahead to trim off 1/4 of an inch from each side of it and then, I got its backing adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base.

Next, I used one of the coordinating dies included in Essential Diamonds Etched Dies to cut out a diamond shape from white card base. A diamond shape that I got mounted right afterwards in the center of the card using craft foam adhesive to add dimension. Lastly, I used some of the glimmering plates and dies included in Merry Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to add the dimensional hot foil stamped card sentiment and to finish the card off, I used Holiday Blooms Etched Dies to add the holiday blooming effect to it.

For the fourth example I used the same diamond dies to create the dimensional diamond window effect over the front card panel. Also, I used the same blooming dies to create the blooming holiday clusters. As for the card sentiment, I used the leftover foil pieces that I had from the previous example to create a reverse hot foil stamping effect for it.

Other than that, I used Glimmer Essential Solid Diamond Hot Foil Plate to add the solid diamond hot foil stamping in the center of the front card panel. so, having that being said to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the die-cutting white card panel layered over with craft foam adhesive to the hot foil stamped one and then, I got the backing of it adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base along with both holiday blooming cluster just, as shown in the image above.

This collection also includes this beautiful Plaid Tidings Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate so, I went ahead to use it to create the front card background for this example. Thus, once I had added the hot foil stamped effect over a white card panel, I proceeded to trim off 1/4 of an inch from each side of it and then, I got its backing adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base.

Then, to keep it simple, I used once again the solid hot foil plate to create a very own foil effect to a white card panel so, I could use that foiled pieces to cut out the top layer from the large Merry Christmas card sentiment and its shadow or base layer from white cardstock. By the way, I used Stylish Merry Christmas Etched Dies to create the large Merry Christmas sentiment. Having that said, after I had finished layering the card sentiment over, I went ahead to finish the card off by getting the large sentiment mounted with craft foam adhesive right in the center of the card.

For the last example, I just could not resist to create a mini shaped card using the leftover foil piece that I had left from the first example.

So, I went ahead to use one of the solid plates to get the reverse foiling for the glimmering tree over a large piece of white cardstock. Then, I used the die to cut out the foil stamped image as well as, two plain white pieces; both plain white pieces which, I used to create the shaped card base. Thus, to create the shaped card base, I created a hinge in the very tip of the tree and the I got both die-cutting pieces gluing at the very tip of it.

Having that said, to finish off this mini shaped tree card, I went ahead to get the backing of the hot foil stamped image adhered over the shaped card base and then, I added the sentiment and the smaller pieces right at its tip to create a completed look.

Finally, as a finishing touch, I used my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the Sunlight Gold jewels on some of the cards to add them an extra touch of shine. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this holiday season’s set of inspiration cards with a “White-on white & Glimmering” look showcasing the latest Glimmer Greetings Collection by Spellbinders.
