Spellbinders Four Petal Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Therefore, for the first example, I used Wonderful Tulips Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set alongside the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform, Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold to get the tulips hot foil stamped over a large piece of white cardstock. The Wonderful Tulips Layered Stencils set is the coordinating stencil set to add color to the floral design. However, I decided to skip the inking step, and I used alcohol markers instead to add the pops of colors.

Thus, after adding the pops of colors, I used the coordinating die to die-cut the floral design from the cardstock and put it aside. Meanwhile, I used the Four Petal Floral 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to an A2 size white card panel, and once I had that step done, I got the backing of the textured card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I added dimension to the back side of the die-cutting floral design using craft foam adhesives, and then, I got its backing mounted over the left side of the textured card’s front panel.

Nevertheless, I used one of the hot foil plates included in the Making Me Smile Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to get the card’s sentiment hot foil stamped over a piece of white cardstock, and then, I used its coordinating die to cut it out also from the cardstock. Then, to finish the card, I got the card’s sentiment mounted with craft foam adhesives to add dimension to the upper right side of the card’s front card panel.

For the second example, I used the 3D embossing folder one more time, but this time, I added texture to a smaller panel that I created out of light pink cardstock. So, after adding the detailed texture to the card panel, I used the Paper Trimmer to trim off 1/4 of an inch from each side, and then I got it adhered with double-sided adhesive to a slightly larger white card panel to add an extra layer to it.

After getting the layering for the front card panel, I added craft foam adhesive to its backing, and then I got it adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base.

Nevertheless, I created a layered and dimensional die-cutting label from white and gold cardstock using some of the dies included in Essential Four Petal Labels Etched Dies. And, to finish the card, I mounted the card sentiment to the center part of the dimensional label.

For the third example, I used the dies included in Stitched Fan Cardfront Etched Dies to die-cut the stitched pieces out for the card’s background from Light Pink and Coral cardstock. Next, to add the hand-stitching details, I used one of the DMC #20 Tapestry Hand Needles and Embroidery thread close to the cardstock hues for a slightly monochromatic look.

Next, after adding the hand-stitching touch, I created the card front background following the pattern design, and then, I got the backing of it glued down with hot glue to an A2 size top folding white card base.

Last but not least, to get the card finished, I added dimension to the center’s die-cutting pieces, and I got the card sentiment mounted to the dimensional center part of the card. Also, I got some of the gold jewels glued down to add a metallic gold accent. By the way, I used one of the card sentiments created using the same sets in the previous example, and finally, for this example, I used another sentiment left from the sentiment sets.

For the fourth example, I made a much simpler card with lots of dimensions and shine using the Scrolled Punch & Pierce Plate Etched Die and three different cardstock hues to create an ombre effect with metallic gold accents.

Therefore, to add the metallic gold accents first, I got the backing of an A2 size gold card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I inlaid the die-cutting pieces to create the detailed and dimensional front card panel. By the way, I would like to mention that I added dimension by layering extra die-cutting pieces to medium and small die-cutting pieces.

Lastly, after adding the dimensional effect to the inlaid pieces, I added the card sentiment to the center part of the card, and also I got some gold jewels glued down all around the label design to add an extra touch of shine.

For the fifth example, I made a label-shaped card. So, I did all the die-cutting out of white cardstock, and then I got attached two of the large die-cutting pieces to create the shaped card base. Next, I added extra layers to the front part of the label-shaped card to create dimension.

Once I had finished adding the layering effect to the card front, I put the card base aside, and then I used the dies included in Four Petal Bloom Reflection Etched Dies to get the die-cutting process done for the floral cluster. As for the die-cutting step, I kept it simple by using the same cardstock hues that I used in the previous example, plus yellowish-green cardstock to die-cut the leaves and stem.

Lastly, after getting the die-cutting step done, I assembled the floral cluster, and then I got it glued down to the front card panel. Next, as finishing touches, I added metallic gold accents to add a pop of shine and the card sentiment to get the card finished off.

For the sixth and last example, I made an extra detailed handmade card with a dimensional floral frame. Thus, I use the die I used in the fourth example to die-cut the pierced background from white cardstock. Then, I added the metallic gold effect and a pop of color to the center part of the card background.

As you can see in the image above, I got the card sentiment mounted and got some of the gold jewels glued down to add an extra touch of shine.

As for the dimensional frame, I used two of the dies included in Essential Four Petal Labels Etched Dies to die-cut the shaped frame out of white cardstock. Then, I got the frame mounted over the card front using some paper springs that I created out of pieces of white cardstock.

Moving on, for the floral touch, I used the dies included in Four Petal Bloom Reflection Etched Dies to die-cut the floral pieces for the floral clusters. Thus, after putting together both floral clusters, I got one of them glued down with liquid glue to the upper right corner of the dimensional frame.

And lastly, I got glued down the second one to the lower left corner. As a finishing touch, I got more jewels glued to the flower’s centers.
