Spellbinders DOM DEC-2022┃Inspiration Card

Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this extra-dimensional and textured inspirational card made with a “Hand-Stitched” look showcasing the latest: NOV-2022 "Stitched Heart Card Front" Small Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

Therefore, I went ahead to line up the frame die along with its pattern insert die over a large piece of White cardstock, and then, I proceeded to run them thru the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I repeated the same step to cut out another detailed frame from White cardstock and another from Gold cardstock. Once, I had those steps completed, went ahead to layer both white die-cutting frames to make a single one sturdy, and then I went ahead to put the gold detailed frame off to the side.

That being said, I went ahead to add a hand-stitched detail to the rounded parts of the detailed frame using a needle from the DMC #20 Tapestry Hand Needles set along with Dark Pink DMC Floss. Soon after I finished adding the hand-stitched detail to the frame, I went ahead to layer the stitched frame over the gold detailed frame but a little offset to create a gold shadow on the right side of the frame.

So, as soon as, I had finished layering the detailed frame, I went ahead to put it aside, and then I quickly proceeded to use the heart die included in the set to die cut it out from white and also from gold cardstock. The heart die also add up the stitched detail to the heart, so I went ahead to use it once again the needle to add the stitching details to it but this time I used Light Pink DMC Floss to create a contrast between the Pinks.

Nevertheless, after adding the hand-stitching detail to the heart, I proceeded to layer it over to the gold die-cutting heart to create the same gold shadow effect as I did from the frame, and then, I got the layered heart mounted over the frame. Afterward, I used the frame die but this time without the insert die to cut it out from white cardstock to add a solid frame underneath the detailed frames. Then, I used the small banner die and one of its inserts dies to create the card sentiment from gold cardstock and white cardstock. By the way, I used white cardstock just as an additional dimension to the card sentiment.

Lastly, after getting all pieces finished, I proceeded to the card assembling, so I decided to add an extra texture to the card background, and to do that, I used this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month Club. That being said after adding the texture to the card background, I went ahead to get its backing adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I mounted the detailed frame over the textured card background, and last but not least, I added some of the Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems to add the heart a little extra touch of shine.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this extra-dimensional and textured inspirational card with a “Hand-Stitched” look showcasing the latest: NOV-2022 "Stitched Heart Card Front" Small Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
