Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an inspirational set of cards made with a “Sweet and Lovely” airy look featuring: "My Forever Person" DEC-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club. Along with this month’s clear stamp & die of the month club, I used Embossing Folder of the Month Club and Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
Therefore, I started by getting the card background stamped and heat embossing so to do that, I went ahead to place a large piece of white cardstock inside the MISTI Stamp Tool. Then, I went ahead to line up the large heart stamp image over the cardstock to get the heart image stamped with Embossing Ink over the cardstock but before getting the stamping done, I must mention that I used Magic Powder Bag to remove the static and oils from the cardstock for a better stamping and heat embossing impression. Thus, after getting the stamping done in the center of the cardstock piece, I went ahead to repeat the stamping all over the cardstock piece to create a pattern over it. Once, I had finished the stamping process, I went ahead to carefully remove de cardstock piece from the stamping tool, and then I went ahead to sprinkle over the stamping some Embossing Powder Ultra Fine Alabaster. Followed by that, I used the Wow Dual Speed Heat Tool to heat set the embossing powder and once I had that done, I used an ink blending brush along with Pink dye ink to ink up the cardstock piece using the embossing resist technique.
Thus, after getting the cardstock piece inked up, I went ahead to use the Paper Trimmer to trim down the front card panel from it. So, I got it trimmed down a little smaller than the card base and once I had that done, I proceeded to get the backing of the card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Moving on, after getting that step done, I went ahead to add texture to a smaller white card panel using this month’s Embossing Folder Kit of the Month Club, and once I have added the texture to it, I proceeded to get it mounted to the front card panel using craft foam adhesive to add a little bit of dimension. Lastly, I used the smaller heart stamp image included in the stamp set to get it stamped and white heat embossing over a piece of Light Pink cardstock, and right after I got that done, I proceeded to use its coordinating die to cut it out from the cardstock piece. Finally, I decided to add a little depth to the die-cutting heart by adding the same ink hue that I used to ink up the card panel. That being said, I went ahead to get the die-cutting heart mounted over the upper side of the textured card panel, and to finish the card off, I went ahead to get a sub-sentiment mounted on the lower side of the card panel. By the way, I used one of the sentiments it’s also included in the stamp set and to get it to heat embossing, I used Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded.
For the second example, I made a simpler card design so, to do it first, I went ahead to add texture to an A2 size white card panel using the same embossing folder that I used in the previous example. Next, after adding the texture to it, I went ahead to trim off 1/8 of an inch from each side using the paper trimmer, and once I had that step completed, I proceeded to get the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base, and right after that, put the card base aside.
Meanwhile, I used the large heart stamp image to get it stamped and white heat embossed over a large piece of Light Pink cardstock. Then, in the same as I did in the previous example, I used its coordinating die to cut it out from the cardstock, and then I added depth to its edges. That being said, after adding depth to it, I went ahead to get it mounted over the upper side of the front card panel, and then I got the card finished off by adding the layered card sentiment mounted in the center part of the heart. By the way, I used the dies included in the Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month Club to create the layered banner card sentiment from white and gold cardstock.
This month the club also included these decorative letters so for this example, I went ahead to use them by repeating the exact steps as I did for the previous example to get them stamped and heat embossed over a large piece of Light Pink cardstock.
Next, I used their coordinating dies to cut them out from the cardstock, and then I used them a few more times to cut out extra letters to make them dimensional after getting them layered over. Once, I had that step completed, I proceeded to put them aside. Meanwhile, I used once again the embossing folder to add texture to an A2-size white card panel but this time instead of using the embossed side, I used the debossing side.
Moving on, after adding the texture to the card panel, I went ahead to trim off 1/4 of an inch from each side, and then I got the backing of it mounted with craft foam adhesive to add dimension to an A2 size side folding white card base. Then, I proceeded to get the letters glued down over the front card panel, and lastly, to finish the card off, I decided to add a sub-sentiment to the lower right side of the letters. By the way, this sentiment it’s also included in the stamp set.
Finally, after getting the card set completed, I went ahead to get each of them embellished by gluing down here and there some of the Opal Color Essentials Gems to add the cards a little touch of shine. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this inspirational set of cards with a “Sweet and Lovely” airy look featuring: "My Forever Person" DEC-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club along with this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month Club and Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
