Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an inspiration set of cards made with a “Floral Motif” look featuring: "Diamond & Arch Motif" NOV-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club. Along with this month’s clear stamp & die of the month club, I used Embossing Folder of the Month Club both clubs by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
Therefore, I started off by getting the stamping done over a small piece of white cardstock for the diamond motif. So, to do that, I went ahead to place the cardstock piece inside the MISTI Stamp Tool and then, I proceeded to lay down over it the diamond stamp image. Next, I used the Magic Powder Bag to remove any static from the cardstock and then, I continued to get the image stamped twice using Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink. Once, I had the stamping done, I quickly proceed to do the heat embossing step and, to do that, I used per usual Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded and Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool. That being said, as soon as, I’ve gotten finished the heat embossing for the stamped image, I went ahead to repeat the same step to get a few more diamond motif images and then, I used the coordinating die to cut them out from the cardstock pieces.
Thus, to be exact, I got stamped and heat embossing 5 images to create the card background with them and one to get the envelope embellished. So, having that said, to make the card background first, I went ahead to add a pop of color to an A2 size white card panel using a light blue dye ink and an ink blending brush. Secondly, after adding the pop of color to the card panel, I used my Paper Trimmer to cut out 1/8 of an inch from each side of it. Once, I had that step done, I went ahead to create the pattern over the front card panel using the die-cutting diamond motif images and then, I used a pair of scissors to cut out the excess pieces and once , I had that done, I proceeded to get the backing of the card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add the card sentiment in the center of the card and then, I added a touch of sparkle by gluing down here and there some crystal sequins. By the way, the sentiment is part of the stamp set and it also has a coordinating die.
For the second example, I made a simpler card design so, to do it first, I went ahead to add a pop of color to an A2 size panel with the same ink hue that I used in the previous example. So, to do the perfect ink blended rectangular shape, I created my own stencil using some of the dies including in Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies. Thus, as soon as, I had finished inking up the card panel, I proceeded to use the paper trimmer to trim off 1/8 of an inch from each side of the card panel and then right after that. I proceeded to get the backing of it mounted with craft foam adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base.
Once, I had the front card panel mounted over the card base, I went ahead to put it off aside to get the stamping done for the arched floral motif. So, to do that, I followed the same step for the stamping and heat embossing from the previous example to get the image finished with gold embossing. Also, I used its coordinating die included in the set to cut it out from the cardstock along with extra die-cutting images to add layers and make it dimensional.
Moving on, after making the arched floral motif dimensional, I proceeded to get it glue down in the center of the inked front card panel and then, I got the card finishing off by adding the card sentiment in the lower left side, and by gluing down here and there some of the crystal sequins to add a pop of sparkle to it. By the way, the card sentiment and its coordinating die are also part of the club.
For the last example, I went ahead to create a smaller stencil using the dies including in the same set, but this time after I had finished getting it ink up, I took a step further by adding texture to the card panel as well using, this month’s Embossing Folder Kit of the Month Club.
Consequently, after I had finished adding the texture to it, I proceeded to use my paper trimmer to trim off 1/8 of an inch from each side and then, I got its backing adhered with craft foam adhesive to add dimension to an A2 size top folding white card base. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the front card panel embellished by gluing down the card sentiment and the diamond motif (as shown in the image above) and then, I also got glue down some of the crystal sequins to add an extra touch of sparkle to this card.
And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of cards with a “Floral Motif” look featuring: "Diamond & Arch Motif" NOV-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club along with this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month Club both clubs by Spellbinders.
