Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you a set of 4 inspiration cards made with an extra “Colorful Look” using Die Cut Shapes, Chipboard Stickers, Stamp Set, Die Set, Gems and the Patterned Paper Pad including in AUG-2021 “Art School” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step for how I’ve made them ↓
Therefore, as per usual with every Spellbinders’ Card Kit of the Month, I’ve started off by selecting the die cut shapes and patterned paper sheets that I was going to use to create each card. Thus, for this card, I went ahead to select all flowers and butterflies die cut shapes because I wanted to create a frame with them.
So, to create the frame first, I went ahead to trim off one of the colored cardstock sheets including in the kit to H 5-1/2’’ x W 4-1/4’’ inches using my Comfort Paper Trimmer. Second, I went ahead to line up over the card panel 2 of the solid dies including in Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies Set and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Once, I had finished die-cutting the frame, I’ve gone ahead to mount the backing of it to one of the textured white card bases including in the kit using square foam adhesives to add dimension to get the card assembling started.
As, for the card assembling, I went ahead to glue down some of the die cut shapes using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue while I’ve got some of the other mounted using square foam adhesives creating that way, a dimensional frame over the card. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount one of the chipboard stickers in a sentiment form, and with that being said my first card was completed.
The second card was one simplest ones, so to create this card I went ahead to trim off the edges this beautiful, patterned paper using my paper trimmer and then, I went ahead to get the backing adhered to one of the textured white card bases.
Once, that I had the front card panel adhered to the card base, I went ahead to select some die cut shapes and as soon as I’ve got them selected, I’ve gone ahead to create a dimensional smaller frame by stacking all of them over the card (as shown in the image above.)
Lastly, to finish the card off I went ahead to use one of the sentiments from the stamp set including in the kit, so I could get it partially stamping and gold heat embossing over one of the die cut shapes complimenting and completing that way the sentiment for the card.
This month’s club kit includes a beautiful die set that create a fabulous watercolor palette, a paint tube and 2 watercolor brushes. So therefore, I went ahead to line up the dies over white cardstock and then I ran them through the die-cut machine. Also, I went ahead to line up some of the dies over gold cardstock and some of them over colored cardstock.
Once, I had the die-cutting pieces completed, I went ahead to get them assembled and then I set off aside. Meanwhile, I also got lined up the floral die including in the set to die-cut some flowers and leaves out of colored cardstock.
Thus, as soon as I had the floral die-cutting pieces completed, I went ahead to get the flowers assembled to get the card assembling started as well. So, for the card assembling I went ahead to trim off the edges of one of the pattered paper sheet from the pad and then I’ve got the backing of it adhered with double-sided tape to one of the textured white card bases. Next, I went ahead to mount a smaller white card panel over the card with craft foam and double-sided to create dimension, and as soon as I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to get each die-cutting piece mounted over it (as shown in the image above) creating that way the full card layout. Last but not least, I used one of the sentiment including in the stamp set to get it stamping and heat embossing over a strip of white cardstock. And then, to finish the card off, I’ve gotten the sentiment mounted to the card and I also got some gold jewels glue down here and there to add an extra pop of shine.
For the last example, I created a girly-crafty inspiration card by selecting some of the die cut shapes in craft supply form.
So therefore, I went ahead to trim off the edges of one of the patterned paper sheets from the pad and then, I’ve got it the backing of it adhered with double-sided tape to one of the texture white card bases. Next, I created a smaller card panel by adhering together a navy color cardstock piece along with a white cardstock piece and then, I’ve got the backing of it mounted to the card using square foam adhesives to add a bit of dimension.
Once, I had the smaller card panel adhered to the card, I went ahead to glue down each die cut shape to create the layout for the card (as you can see in the image above.) And then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount one of the die cut shapes to use it as the card sentiment.
And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of 4 inspiration cards made with an extra “Colorful Look” using Die Cut Shapes, Chipboard Stickers, Stamp Set, Die Set, Gems and the Patterned Paper Pad including in AUG-2021 “Art School” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders.
