Spellbinders AUG-2021 DOML┃Slimline Inspiration Card

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a clean and simple, yet extra delicate and intricate “Grateful” inspiration slimline card made showcasing AUGUST-2021 “Hex Kaleidoscope Slimline” Large Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders. Along with it, I’ve also used More Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates as the card sentiment and Mini Blooms and Sprigs Etched Dies to add the small floral clusters. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Large Die of the Month Club Kit includes 5 dies on which one of them creates a slimline frame and another which creates the details for the edges of it and the the hex intricate frame insert both to create a delicate slimline card.

Having that said, I went ahead to line up both dies mentioned above over a large piece of white cardstock and then, as soon as I had them both line up, I quickly went ahead to run them both through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, so I could die-cut the intricate hex frame.

Thus, after that I had finished the die-cutting for the intricate frame, I went ahead to set it off aside, so I could proceed to line up the die that die-cut just the solid frame over a large piece of Barely Peach Cardstock. So, as soon as I’ve had finished lining it up, I went ahead to run them through my die-cut machine to die-cut the solid frame for the card.

Moving on, as soon as I’ve had finished die-cutting both intricate insert and solid frames, I went ahead to glue them both together using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and then, I quickly went ahead to get the backing of the stacked frame mounted to a slimline white card base using craft foam and double-sided adhesive to add a bit of dimension.

Nevertheless, right after that my card base and front card panel were onto place, I went ahead to set it off aside to start the assembling for the card. As, for the card assembling I went ahead to die-cut 3 times out of white cardstock each hex kaleidoscope die including in the set and once I had that done, I immediately went ahead to stack each layer over the other to create each hex kaleidoscope, which as you can see in the image above inlays into the card.

Lastly, after having each intricate hex kaleidoscope inlaid to the card, I went ahead to finish the card off by mounting 2 small floral cluster which, I’ve had previously die-cut and created using dies including in Mini Blooms and Sprigs Etched Die along with a combination of Pink Sand Cardstock, Dahlia Cardstock and Rainforest Cardstock. Also, as the card sentiment, I used one of the sentiments including in More Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates + Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Blush for the foil stamping process.

As a final touch, I went ahead to get some tiny jewels glue down (as shown in the image above) to add a pop of shine to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this clean and simple, yet extra delicate and intricate “Grateful” inspiration slimline card showcasing AUGUST-2021 “Hex Kaleidoscope Slimline” Large Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders.
