Spellbinders APR-2021 CSOM ┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this set of “Delicate” cards made using “Around The Bend” APRIL-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit which pairs perfectly with this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of The Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example I created a birthday card so, I started by placing an A2 standard size white card panel inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and then, I went ahead to place over it the curvy candles stamp image including in this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit. Thus, for the stamping I’ve gotten the stamping done using embossing ink and then I went ahead to gold heat emboss the stamped image. Having that said, right after that I’ve had finished heat setting the embossing powder with my heat gun tool, I’ve proceeded to quickly color each candle in using a combination of colorful colors.

Next, after finishing the coloring for the candles, I went ahead to use a small pair of scissors to fussy cut out the curvy heat embossing image and then I set it off to the side while I started the assembling for the card. To assemble the card, I went ahead to place an A2 size white card panel over my scoring board tool and then, I added texture to the card panel by continuously scoring some lines over it leaving 1/4’’ of inch between them plus, 1/2’’ of an each on others creating that way my own pattern. So, after I’ve had finished adding the texture for the card panel, I went ahead to trim off the edges from it a bit smaller than the card base and then, I wrapped around on the upper side of the card a large piece of Metallic Thread, and also, I’ve got adhered down a pre-made bow which, I've had previously created using glittery see-through ribbon for a subtle look. Lastly, I mounted the fussy cut curvy candle piece over the card panel using craft foam tape to add dimension and then, I went ahead to stamp and gold heat emboss the Birthday sentiment including in the stamp set (as shown in the image above.) Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount the card panel with craft fun foam and double-sided tape and then, I added glossy accent to the candle flames for a shiny dimensional look.

For the second card, I created a double fold card so therefore, I started by stamping over a piece of white cardstock the branch curvy stamp image including in the stamp set using Green color ink. Next, after having the curvy branch image stamped, I went ahead to create a pattern with the different flower cluster stamp images including in the stamp set using Pink, Orange, and Teal color inks.

Therefore, right after that I’ve had finished stamping the flower clusters, I went ahead to use one of the edger scallop dies including in this month’s Large Die of the Month Club Kit and having that said, I went ahead to line up the scalloped die over the stamped image and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to add the scalloped/dotted edge to the stamp image and for a full effect I repeated the same step to the other edge.

Thus, after finishing the die-cutting for the stamped image, I went ahead to create the card base so to do that, I went ahead to line up the same scallop die on the edge of an A2 top folding white card base at the mark of 4-1/8’’ inches and then, I ran them through the die-cutting machine to die-cut the scalloped edge from it so, I could get adhere edge to edge the die-cutting scalloped image which I created earlier. Therefore, after having that step done, I went ahead to trim off the front flap from another A2 size white card base at the mark of 2-1/2’’ inches but this time using my paper trimmer for a straight edge. And once I’ve had that done, I’ve proceeded to adhere both card bases together and same as the previous example, I added texture to both sided of the card openings using the same scoring method.

Nevertheless, once I had finished the card base, I went ahead to mount with craft foam tape the scalloped/dotted die-cutting piece to add dimension and then, I’ve gotten stamped and gold heat embossing the Thank You sentiment on the right side of the card. Last but not least to finish the card off, I created 2 floral cluster which I’ve gone ahead to glue down with liquid glue (as shown in the image above) by the way, I’ve had used the floral and greenery dies including in the kit along with coordinating color cardstock. And to add a sparkly touch, I’ve also gotten glue down with liquid glue some color coordinating jewels.

For the last example, I made another landscape design using the Hello sentiment including in the stamp set but this time in a much simpler design using this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club Kit. So therefore, I went ahead to foil stamp the curvy floral image over an A2 size white card panel using a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold along with the glimmer plate including in the club kit. And as you know for the foiling step I’ve also used Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Thus, after I’ve had finished the foiling over the card panel, I went ahead to use a combination of Copic Markers that coordinated with the colors used on the previous projects to color in the flowers and leaves.

So, to assemble the card first, I went ahead to use the scallop edge die including in this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club Kit to add the scalloped edge to the card panel and to die-cut a gold panel too, since I wanted to add a gold border to the front card panel. Therefore, to finish the card off, I went ahead to stamp and gold heat embossing the Hello sentiment including in the stamp set on the right side of the card and as soon as I’ve had finished doing that, I’ve gone ahead to adhere down the backing of the card panel with craft foam tape to a side folding white card base.
