Spellbinders Add To Cart Too Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a set of inspiration cards with a “Colorful & 3D” look showcasing the latest Add to Cart Too Collection designed by Becky Roberts for Spellbinders; a collection which includes: 3D Shopping Cart - Right Facing Etched Dies, Shopping Run Etched Dies, Plant it Here Etched Dies, In the Garden Etched Dies, Around the Garden Clear Stamp Set, and Shopping Run Sentiments Clear Stamp Set. In addition to this collection, I used Shopping Bag Sentiments Clear Stamp Set and Shopping Bags Etched Dies as well. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, I started off by cutting out the shopping cart pieces using Red, Black, and Holographic cardstock. Once, I had that done, I proceeded to get the assembling for the cart started by gluing down each piece using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. This die set includes two dies that add up the 3D effect to the cart so, I went ahead to use the narrow die to add the effect to it.

Once, I had the shopping cart assembled, I’ve gone ahead to put it aside to keep going with the die-cutting process for the rest of the elements. So, for the die-cutting process, I used mostly every die included in In the Garden Etched Dies + some of the dies included in Shopping Run Etched Dies and Plant it Here Etched Dies. Thus, to cut out the die-cutting elements, I used a combination of hues from Spellbinders Cardstock and TSM Cardstock.

Lastly, after getting the die-cutting process for the elements, I proceeded to get the assembled and then, I got them added to the shopping cart. Next, I went ahead to trim down 1/4 of an inch from an A2 size white card panel using my Paper Trimmer and then, I placed the card panel inside my MISTI Stamp Tool to get the bottom part of it stamped using Detail Black Ink along with the stamp image included in to Shopping Bag Sentiments Clear Stamp Set to get the floor stamped underneath the shopping cart. Once, I had that step completed, I went ahead to get the backing of the front card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base and then, I got the shopping cart gluing down over the it. As for the cart elements, I got some of them glue down and I added square foam adhesives to some of them to add the 3D effect. Also, to finish the card off, I got the card sentiment stamped with Black ink over a piece of white cardstock using one of the card sentiments included in Around the Garden Clear Stamp Set. A sentiment which right after, I got layered over a larger piece of Kraft cardstock and added to the side of the shopping cart, just as shown in the image above.

For the second example, I created a simpler card with a cleaner look; however, I decided to add texture to the card front. So , to add the texture to the card front, I used Plaid Company Embossing Folder.

That being said, after adding the texture to the white card panel, I proceeded to trim down 1/4 of an inch from each side and then, I added the stamping effect for the floor. Next, I got the backing of the card panel adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base using double-sided adhesive and then, I mounted with craft foam adhesive some white strips that I got cut out from white cardstock to simulate the floor base and to add some dimension to the wall as well.

Lastly, I added to the shopping cart the elements that I had cut out previously using the same cardstock hues and the dies from the same sets that I used in the previous example + one of the dies included in Shopping Run Etched Dies. By the way, to finish the card off, I used one of the stamp included in Shopping Run Sentiments Clear Stamp Set to add the card sentiment and last but not least, to change thing a little bit, I used the wider die to add an extra 3D effect to the metallic looking cart.

For the last example, I created once again a red shopping cart because, you know I got to get inspired by Target. Although for this example, I did not add texture to the card panel, I did add the stamping effect for the floor, and I added the extra dimension look to the cart.

Other than that, I used every single die included in Shopping Run Etched Dies along with some of the dies included in Shopping Bags Etched Dies to cut out the shopping bag; a shopping bag which, I had stamped using Red ink and along with a coordinating sentiment included in Shopping Bag Sentiments Clear Stamp Set.

Having that said, I went ahead to get the backing of the stamped card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I got glue down the shopping cart over it and then, I added the shopping elements inside the cart. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add its sentiment on the upper left corner.

In the image above, you can take a top view for how the 3D effect looks like on each shopping cart and how each card looks like as well.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of inspiration cards with a “Colorful & 3D” look showcasing the latest Add to Cart Too Collection designed by Becky Roberts for Spellbinders.
