Scrapbook.com Modern Slimline┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a modern set of slimline inspiration cards made with a “Dimensional & Botanical” look showcasing more of the latest and exclusive dies by Scrapbook.com. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, I started off by lining up over a large piece of white cardstock the dies included in Decorative Emboss and Die Set - Stitched Border Strips and then, I went ahead to run them through my Sizzix - Big Shot Switch Plus Machine. Once, I had finished cutting them all, I went ahead to tear off a sheet from the Boho - Smooth Cardstock Paper Pad and then, I got each white die-cutting white strip adhered down over it using Double Sided Adhesive Foam Strips to add them a little bit of dimension. Thus, as soon as, I had finished getting them adhered, I proceeded to get the backing of the green card panel adhere down using Permanent Tape Runner to a white slimline card base.

Moving on, once I had gotten the green card panel adhered to the card base, I went ahead to put it aside to get the die-cutting process started for the focal point. As, for the focal point, I used the dies included in Decorative Sprigs Die Set to cut out the sprigs; also I used the dies included in Decorative Floral Borders Die Set. Then, for the cardstock hues, I used the same sheets included in the same paper pad. That said, right after that I had finished cutting the greenery off, I went ahead to get glue down the large floral border over the front card panel and then, I created a cluster using the smaller die-cutting sprigs; a cluster which, I got gluing down in the center of the card right afterwards.

Having that said, continuing with the card assembling, I went ahead to cut out some letters from white and gold cardstock using the alphabet dies included in Uptown Alphabet - Upper and Lower to create the dimensional Thanks card sentiment. So, to do that, I went ahead to line up the die-cutting letters over a strip of Smooth Vellum Sheets and then, I got the Thanks sentiment gluing down over the sprig cluster. Lastly, I went ahead to fussy cut out some flowers from the floral border; flowers which I used to embellish the card. Last but certainly not least, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add some sparkle to the card so, to do that, I used my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the Jewels: Espresso.

For the second example, I created a geometrical shaped card using the dies included in Nested Hexagon Die Set; dies which, I’ve used to die cut the card base from white cardstock the layering panels from the same cardstock pad.

That said, after getting all the die-cutting pieces cut out, I went ahead to add a hinge to one of the white hexagonal panel and then, I got glue down the second hexagonal panel to it to create the shaped card base. Next, I went ahead to glue down the Navy hexagonal panel using double-sided adhesive to the card base and then, I got the light Brown hexagonal panel adhered also with double-sided adhesive over the Navy hexagonal panel.

Lastly, I decided to add a clear heat embossing texture to the last hexagonal panel so, to do that, I used one of Ink Blending Tool with Domed Foam along with Floral Confetti Stencil and VersaMark Ink Pad; also, I used Super Fine Clear Embossing Powder and Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool for the heat embossing process. Once, I had finished adding the clear embossing texture to it, I went ahead to get the backing of it mounted to the card using pieces of Double Sided Adhesive Foam Roll to raise some dimension. And, finally to finish the card off, I went ahead add the dimensional Thank you card sentiment to it. By the way, for the sentiment, I used the same alphabet die set that I used in the previous example.

For the last example, I made another slimline cards and I used the same sprig die set however, to change things a little bit, I added a little bit of ink blending to it. So, to do that, I used the following Distress Oxides Inks: Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Brushed Corduroy, Gathered Twigs, Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire along with some of the Ink Blending Tools and once again Floral Confetti Stencil. Therefore, as soon as, I had finished the ink blending process through the stencils, I went ahead to add a pop of color to a large piece of white cardstock using Chipped Sapphire ink. Next, I used the dies included in Nested Rounded Rectangles to cut out the slimline panels for the card.

As, you can see for the card assembling, I went ahead to get the backing of the inked panel adhered to a slimline white card base. Next, I layered over the inked card panel a smaller gold card panel and then, I got layered over the gold card panel the floral card panel as well. Lastly, I got glue down the cluster sprig that I created earlier to the lower right side of the card and then, I got the card finish it off by adding a dimensional and layered die-cutting Hello sentiment. By the way, a sentiment which I had gotten created using the same cardstock hues along with gold cardstock + the alphabet dies included in Festive Alphabet - Upper and Lower. Also, to add a touch of sparkle to the card, I got gluing down some Jewels: Stargazer.
