To begin with, I started by running through the die-cutting machine the Merry Days Die Set along with a pastel blue card panel. Right after the die-cutting, I carefully removed the positive and negative pieces together to my stamping tool because, I was going to stamp over each of the images using the Merry Days Stamp Set. So, once on the stamping tool, I treated the whole die-cutting piece with the Embossing Powder Tool because, I was going to stamp the images with Embossing Ink then, gold heat embossing them with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder.

After the heat embossing, I removed the positive pieces from the tree yet, I left the stamp in the same position because, I adhered a piece of white card stock to the tree and, I gold heat embossed the images through the tree. I did this extra step because, I was planning on using both the negative and positive pieces from the paste blue die cutting. Once, the heat embossing was done inside the white piece of card stock, I trimmed the edges of the tree and I set aside. In the meantime, I ran through the die-cutting machine the 3-D Embossing Folder along with a white card panel because, I wanted to add texture to each of the card panels that, I was going to use on both cards today. Right after the dry embossing, I trimmed the edges of the first white card panel and, I adhered the backing of it to an A2 top folding white card base. Lastly, I adhered the backing of the tree right in the center of the card with foam mounting tape to add dimension. To finish the card off, I gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Merry Days Stamp Set with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder on a piece of white card stock which, right afterwards I adhered on the center of the tree as you can see in the picture above.

For the second card, I ran through the die-cutting machine once again the Merry Days Die Set to die-cut out of a white card panel the tree. Once, the tree was die-cut it out of the card panel, I removed the positive pieces out and, I adhered the backing of the negative piece from the tree with double-side tape to the dry embossed white card panel that, I dried emboss it along with the previous example.

Because, I used double-sided tape to adhere the completely backing of the tree to the card panel, I had adhesive expose so, I used that to adhered/inlay each single piece of the positive pastel blue that, I had from the previous example. Once, each of the positive pieces were inlay into the tree, I adhered the backing of the card panel to an A2 top folding white card base. Last but certainly not least, I adhered once again the same sentiment and I adhered the sentiment exactly as I did in the previous example. Isn’t that simple???

At this point, I was sure that I was done with the cards as, I wanted as simple as they could be but… guess what?? I decided to add a touch of something to each tip of trees as you can see in the picture above. So, I adhered a bow that, I created out of Metallic Embroidered Thread to them.
With that being said, I hope these cards inspire you to give these simple yet, fun designs a try! As always, I appreciate the time you take to read my blog posts below you’ll find the supply list for the products used on today’s blog post.
