Showered With Love Collection By Vicki Papaioannou┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a cute set of inspiration cards made with a “Colorful & Floral” look showcasing the latest; Showered with Love Collection by Vicki Papaioannou for Spellbinders. This collection includes: Rain or Shine Etched Dies, Umbrella Bloom Etched Dies, Raining Hearts Etched Dies, I've Got You Covered Clear Stamp & Die Set, Duck with Umbrella Etched Dies, and Raindrops 3D Embossing Folder. Also, besides using the elements from this collection, I used Knock on Wood 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to one of the card’s backgrounds. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I created a sunny and colorful design, so to do this card, I went ahead to use the dies included in Duck with Umbrella Etched Dies set along with the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine plus pieces of Gold, White, Black, Yellow, Orange, and two different Pink cardstock pieces to cut out from them the pieces for the duck and its elements.

Next, after getting the die-cutting step completed, I proceeded to get the duck assembled and embellished, and then I put it aside. Meanwhile, I used the dies included in the Rain or Shine Etched Dies set to cut out the rainbow, clouds, and sun using, the same cardstock hues that I used for the duck and its elements.

Then, after getting the die-cutting process finished for the sunny forecast elements, I went ahead to get the assembled, and then I put them aside. Moving on, I used a piece of white cardstock, the MISTI Mini Stamp Tool plus two cards sentiments included in the I've Got You Covered Clear Stamp & Die Set to get them stamped and gold heat embossing over the cardstock pieces. Lastly, I used the coordinating die for one of them to cut it out from the cardstock and for the smaller one, I used one of the sentiment strips dies from my stash. As for the heat embossing process, I used per usual Magic Powder Bag, Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink, Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded, and Wow Dual Speed Heat Tool.

That being said for the card assembling, I went ahead to trim down 1/8 of an inch from each side of an A2 size white card, and then, I got the sun, rainbow, and clouds mounted over the upper right corner of the card panel using liquid glue and square foam adhesives to add dimension. Next, I proceeded to get the duck mounted over the lower left corner, and lastly the dimensional card sentiments which, I got glued down over the lower right corner of the card panel. Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down the backing of the card panel adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base, and then use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some gold jewels adding that way an extra touch of shine to the first card.

For the second example, I went ahead to use the dies included in the Umbrella Bloom Etched Dies along with the same cardstock hues that I used in the first example. Thus, I proceeded to get the die-cutting process done, and then I got all the flowers and umbrella elements assembled.

Once, I got all assembled, I proceeded to put them aside while I proceeded to add texture to an A2 size white card panel using Knock on Wood 3D Embossing Folder. Consequently, after adding the texture to the card panel, I proceeded to trim off 1/8 of an inch from each side using the paper trimmer, and then I got the embellishing started over it.

That said, I went ahead to get the back side of the umbrella adhered over the lower center part of the card panel. Next, I went ahead to glue down the flowers and greenery, and then I got the front part of the umbrella mounted with craft foam adhesives to add a little bit of dimension.

Lastly, I mounted the card sentiment over the upper center of the card panel, and then I got the backing of the textured and embellished front card panel adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base. And finally, as finishing touches, I went ahead to get glued down some of the gold jewels as the flower’s centers adding that way an extra touch of shine to the second card as well.

For the last example, I created a simpler card using the same Umbrella Bloom Etched Dies that I used in the previous example. Thus, I went ahead to use the dies from the set but with different inserts to cut out the umbrella from white and gold cardstock, and then I got the umbrella assembled.

Next, I proceeded to trim down 1/8 of an inch from each side of an A2 size white card panel, and then I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Lastly, I went ahead to get the backing of the umbrella glued down over the upper center of the front card panel, and then, I added a floral touch by creating a small floral cluster that I created using the leftover flowers and greenery from the previous example.

Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add the card sentiment under the umbrella and I also got glued down some of the gold jewels to add some shine to the last card as well. By the way, I used one of the card sentiments and a coordinating die from the same stamp and coordinating set. Also, the umbrella set creates three different styles and you can see how the last one look on the right side in the image above.
