Anemone Blooms Collection by Yana Smakula┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a delicate set of inspiration cards made with a “Floral & Glimmering” look showcasing the latest; Anemone Blooms Collection by Yana Smakula for Spellbinders. This collection includes: Anemones Etched Dies from the Anemone Blooms, Anemone Glimmer Blooms Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set, Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set, Hello, Friend Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set, and Wonderful Script Sentiments Etched Dies. Also, besides using the elements from this collection, I used Diagonal Glimmer Stripes Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and this month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month Club. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I started off by using Anemone Glimmer Blooms Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to do the hot foil stamping for the floral cluster. As for the hot foil stamping, I used white cardstock along with Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine plus, a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold. Thus, as soon as, I had finished with the hot foil stamping process for the floral cluster, I proceeded to use one of the glimmering plates included in the Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set to get one of the card sentiments hot foil stamped over a piece a white cardstock using the same foil hue.

Next, after getting the hot foil stamping completed for the card sentiment, I went ahead to put it aside to move on and add pops of colors to the floral cluster. So, for the pops of colors, I kept it quite simple by using the flicking technique using R83 to add the light pink to the anemone flowers and RV69 to their centers. That being said, after adding the pops of colors to the floral cluster, I went ahead to use its coordinating die included in the set to cut out the anemone cluster from the cardstock. Also, I used the layering friend die to cut out the friend word from white and gold cardstock.

Then, after getting the die-cutting process finished, I proceeded to add texture to an A2 size white card panel using Diagonal Glimmer Stripes Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. Moving on, after adding the texture to the card panel, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base. Next, I got the backing of the floral cluster mounted over the upper right side of the front card panel using craft foam adhesive to add dimension. Lastly, I got the layered friend sentiment mounted over the lower left side of the card, and to finish the card off, I got the sub-sentiment adhered to the bottom part of the card, and then I used the Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the Rhinestones Sunlight Gold to add the first card a little extra touch of shine!

For the second example, I used Anemones Etched Dies from the Anemone Blooms to cut the anemone clusters out of white and gold cardstock. Next, I added pops of colors to the die-cutting white pieces using the same technique and colors that I used in the previous example. Next, I proceeded to use the shadow layer for the floral clusters to get the shadow layers cut out from pieces of translucent vellum.

Once, I had finished with the die-cutting process for the shadow layer, I went ahead to glue down the outer gold layer over the shadow layer, and then, I proceeded to inlay the colored pieces to create the flowers. By the way, I repeated the steps 3X to create 3 floral clusters in an exact way because I wanted to create a card background with them. Thus, after getting the floral clusters assembled, I went ahead to create the card background over an A2 size white card panel using pieces of craft foam adhesive to add dimension.

To be exact, I only used 2 floral clusters to create the whole background. And I got them adhered in the way that you can see in the image above. Also, in the image above you can see the subtle look of the translucent vellum.

Lastly, for the card sentiment, I used a combination of die-cutting and hot foil stamping so, for the beautiful die-cutting word, I used gold cardstock along with one of the dies included Wonderful Script Sentiments Etched Dies. And for the smaller hot foil stamped sentiments, I used some of the glimmer plates included in the Hello, Friend Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set. Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the backing of the card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base, and then I added a touch of sparkle by getting glued down some of the jewels that I used in the previous example.

For the last example, I made a landscaping card design, so to make this card, I used the leftover anemone cluster that I had left from the previous example.

Thus, I went ahead to add texture to an A2-size white card panel using this month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month Club, and then, I got the backing of the textured white card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2-size side folding white card base.

Next, I proceeded to get the backing of the floral cluster mounted with craft foam adhesive over the left side of the card to add dimension, and then I finished the card off by getting a combination of sentiments mounted over the center and right side of the card.

By the way, for the card sentiment I used the large and smaller glimmer plates included in Hello, Friend Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set and to cut out the wonderful world I used the die-included in Wonderful Script Sentiments Etched Dies. Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there some of the jewels adding that way the same amount of shine to all three cards.
