Sending Happy Thoughts Greeting Cards
Happy Friday, friends! With that being said for today’s blog post, I’ve picked the beautiful Floral Vase Stamp Set & Floral Vase Die ↓
I picked this set because, the possibilities are endless as, you can color the beautiful flower cluster from the stamp with any color media of your choice. Not only that but, you can also heat embossing the images just as, I did for today’s examples. So, let’s get started! To begin with, I started by stamping on a piece of heavy vellum with embossing ink the top part of the floral cluster from the Floral Vase Stamp Set and, I heat embossing the flowers with Sweet Mango Embossing Powder. Next, I stamped and heat embossed the stems with Metalline Kiwi Krush Embossing Powder. Once the heat embossing part was done, I ran through the die-cutting along with the Floral Vase Die to die-cut the cluster out of the vellum. Then, I white heat embossed the bow that is also included in the set with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder in a piece of vellum and, once the heat embossing part was done, I ran through the die-cutting machine its coordinated die to die-cut the bow out of the vellum. Lastly, I gold heat embossed the Sending and a sub-sentiment directly to the A2 top folding white card base that, I had previously cut and scored for a clean and simple look. Finally, to finish the card off, I adhered the backing of the floral cluster and bow to the card with liquid glue that dries clear, as well as some Jewels Mix here and there for a touch of sparkle.
Although, I did the same steps for the flowers on the second example, I decided to step it up by adding the vase. So, for the vase, I stamped the three layers that create the vase with Sea Glass Ink and Ocean Mist Ink on a piece of vellum because, I wanted a frosted look for the vase. As, you can see, I stamped, and gold heat embossed the I’m Always here for you sentiment on the opposite side of the flower’s vase. Also, to add more details to the edges of the card panel, I ran through the die-cutting machine the white card panel on which I gold heat embossed the sentiment along with the largest stitched die from the Stitched Rectangles Die Set and, I adhered the backing of it to an A2 top folding white card base with craft foam to add dimension to the card. Lastly, I adhered the flower cluster, the vase and the bow with liquid glue along with more Jewels Mix, adding that way an extra touch of shine.
