Pinkfresh Studio October 2022 Washi Release ▏ Blog Hop

Happy Release Day Crafters! Today, Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating their October-2022 Washi Release with a fabulous blog hop. So therefore, if you’re hopping along with us, welcome as you should have arrived here from Pinkfresh Studio’s Blog but, if this is your starting point, I’d like to invite you to start from → Pinkfresh ‘Blog or by clicking the direct link provided below which will take you directly to the full list for this wonderful blog hop.

With that being said, today I’d like to share with you an delicate slightly shadowbox card inspiration with an “Arched Backdrop & Floral” look showcasing: Chrysanthemum Washi and Chrysanthemum Die to create the floral focal point for the card. And, as always this set also has its coordinating Chrysanthemum Stamp and Chrysanthemum Stencil. That being said, I also had used Arch Backdrop Hot Foil and Arch Backdrop Die to add the arched backdrop look and lastly, Glitter Drops: Gold to add a pop of sparkle to this card. So, without further ado let me share how I made it ↓

Therefore, for this example, I went ahead to unroll the Chrysanthemum Washi and tape it down over a large piece of white cardstock then, I used its coordinating Chrysanthemum Die along with my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to cut the floral images out from the cardstock piece just as, I had done it before with all Pinkfresh Studio Washi-tape Rolls.

Next, right after that I’ve had finished the die-cutting process for the floral images, I’ve gone ahead to put them off aside so, I could had gone to do the hot foil stamping. Thus, to do the hot foil stamping, I used Arch Backdrop Hot Foil along with a piece of white cardstock plus, a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll: Aura and of course, the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to complete the process.

Moving on, as soon as, I had finished the hot foil stamping process, I proceeded to use Arch Backdrop Die to cut out the center part of the arched backdrop and once, I had that done, I proceeded to put it off aside. Meanwhile, I went ahead to trim down a piece of white cardstock at H 5-3/4 x 1.0 inches and then, I placed it with the longest side horizontally over my Scoring Board to trace some scoring lines using my Teflon Bone Folder at 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 5.0, 5-1/4 and 5-1/2. Then, I trim down other pieces of white cardstock to 11.0 x W 2-1/2 inches and then, I placed it with the longest side vertically over the scoring board to trace some scoring lines at 1/2, 3/4, 1.0, 1-1/2, 1-3/4 and 2.0 inches.

So, after getting the scoring lines traced over each piece of white cardstock, I proceeded to get the card assembling so, to do that, I went ahead to fold the ends of the smaller cardstock piece in the way that you can see in the image above and then, I got the bottom parts of it gluing down to the lower side on an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I went ahead to fold over the other scoring lines for the large piece in a mountain, valley and mountain fold on each side and then, I got its end gluing down to create a large cardstock spring creating the same way the exact dimension that I created with the first cardstock piece.

Lastly, after getting the large spring piece completed, I proceeded to cut it out with a pair of scissor into three pieces and then, I got two of them gluing down to each side of the backing of the arch backdrop and the last one to the upper side of it. Then, I proceeded to get the backing of the full backdrop gluing down to the card base and then, I finish the card off by getting the bottom part of the backdrop embellished with the die-cutting pieces from the washi. As, you can see by doing that way, I not only added extra dimension but will also be able to fit the card inside an A2 size envelope once I got flat down the spring pieces.

Finally, as finishing touches, I went ahead to add the dimensional card sentiments that I previously had created using one of the sentiments including in Chrysanthemum Stamp along with its coordinating die. Also, I used my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the Glitter Drops: Gold adding that way a little extra glittery touch to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope this delicate and slightly shadowbox card inspiration with an “Arched Backdrop & Floral” look inspires you to give these sets a try!
