Hello and welcome, crafty friends! Today Pinkfresh Studio and My Sweet Petunia are having an awesome Blog Hop + Giveaway collaboration. So therefore... If you’re hopping along with us, you should have arrived here from TaeEun ‘Blog but, if this is your starting point, I’d like to invite you to start from → Pinkfresh Studio’s Blog or by clicking the direct link provided below which will take you directly to the full list.
With that said, today I’d like to share with you this “Floral” card made with stamp & die sets by Pinkfresh Studio and the MINI MISTI included in the Pink Studio Bag MINI MISTI Bundle. So, to begin with I started by placing inside the MINI MISTI stamping tool a Strathmore Bristol Smooth card panel, and then I lined up over the card panel the floral cluster from the Floral Cluster Stamp Set and once I got them lined up, I went ahead to get the floral image stamp over the card panel with Detail Black Ink.
Moving on, after I had the stamping done, I set the stamping tool aside and I went ahead to get the water-coloring done over the floral cluster. For the watercolor, I used a very pastel-y soft colors which I created by mixing some of the colors from the Pinkfresh Watercolor Collection and a tiny touch of white gouache. So, after I had the floral cluster water-coloring done I set it aside to dry, and in the meanwhile I went ahead to get the stamping and die-cutting done for the card panel.
For the card panel, I used both Pop Out- Sunburst Background Stamp and Pop Out- Die, so first I got line up a card panel and the stamp inside the stamping tool, and then I stamped the background stamp using Misty Coast Ink. Therefore, once I got it stamp I decided to add a touch of texture so, I took advantage as the background stamp was onto place inside the stamping tool so, I went ahead to get the stamping done once again over the card panel, but this time using embossing ink to create a sticky surface. That said, after I had the stamping done, I removed the card panel and I added clear embossing powder and once I had that step done I heat set the card panel using my heat embossing tool, and right afterwards when the heat embossing powder was melted, I trimmed the edges off from the card panel and I adhered the backing of with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base.
Lastly, after the stamped card panel was adhered to the card base, I set the card base aside, and I went ahead to lined up the die Pop Out- Die over a white card panel and the die from the Floral Cluster Die over the water-colored floral cluster. Once, I had them aligned over each panel I ran them through my die-cut machine to create the die-cutting pieces. So, after the die-cutting pieces were done, I glued down with liquid glue the sunburst frame over the card base and I mounted some of the positive die-cut pieces with foam mounting tape to add dimension (as shown in the image above) To add even more dimension, I also mounted the floral cluster with craft foam tape and last but not least, I also went ahead to mount the sentiment which I had previously stamp over a piece of white cardstock using the same color ink that I used for the card panel and which I had also layered over a piece of translucent vellum for a subtle look. Finally, to finish the card off, I glued down light blue jewels from the Essentials: Jewels Mix here and there to add a touch of shine and to complement the turquoise color from the flowers.
With that said crafty friends, I hope this card inspire you to give it a try!
