Happy Release Day Crafters! Today, Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating their JULY-2022 Stamp, Die, Stencil, Washi & Hot Foil Release with a fabulous blog hop. So therefore, if you’re hopping along with us, welcome as you should have arrived here from Wanda’s Blog but, if this is your starting point, I’d like to invite you to start from → Pinkfresh ‘Blog or by clicking the direct link provided below which will take you directly to the full list for this wonderful blog hop.
With that being said, today I’d like to share with you a fun fold and glimmering inspiration card with a “Fall” look made using the just released: Fall Foliage Layering Stencils and Fall Foliage Die. Also, using Sentiment Suite: Hello Hot Foil which happens to be the coordinating hot foil plate for Sentiment Suite: Hello Die Set besides that, I used Heather Lowercase Die Set and Heather Lowercase Stamp to create the die-cutting Fall greeting and lastly, PFS- Inks to add the pops of colors. So, without further ado let me share how I made it ↓
Therefore, I started off by getting the hot foil stamping process done so, to do that, I went ahead to line up the Sentiment Suite: Hello Hot Foil plate over my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and then, I continued to get the hot foil stamping done over a large piece of white cardstock using a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Blush and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to complete the process. Next, I used the coordinating Sentiment Suite: Hello Die Set to cut out the hot foil stamped hello sentiment from the cardstock.
Once, I had that step completed, I proceeded to put the die-cutting hello sentiment aside while, I got the layered stenciling started for the leaves. So, for the leaves, I went ahead to use each stencil including in Fall Foliage Layering Stencils along with some ink blending brushes to ink up the green leaves using: Olive Ink, Evergreen Ink, and Metropolis Ink to add a little more depth to the cool green leaves. Also, Ballet Slipper Ink, Peach Fuzz Ink, Warm Buff Ink, and Doe Ink for the blush color leaves. That being said, as soon as, I had gotten finished inking it up the leaves in both hues, I had gone ahead to use the coordinating Fall Foliage Die to cut out the leaves from the pieces of cardstocks.
Moving on, as soon as, I had finished die-cutting the leaves out from the pieces of cardstock, I proceeded to create the card base with the fun fold effect so, to do that, I used a standard A2 top folding white card base and then, I added a scoring line to the front flap at 2-1/4 inches. Next, after adding the scoring line, I used my bone folder to fold it over in a mountain fold and once I had that done, I went ahead to put the card base off to the side. Meanwhile, I used the large die included in Essentials: Folk Edge Rectangles Die Set to cut out and add the detailed edges to two white card panels. Therefore, once I had finished cutting them out from the white cardstock, I went ahead to get the backing and bottom part of one of them adhered to the bottom part of the mountain fold and, the other to the inside part of the card base.
Lastly, once I had gotten the card base with the fun fold effect finished, I proceeded to get it embellished using the combination of the die-cutting leaves just as, you see them in the image above. Also, I added dimension to the foil stamped hello sentiment by stacking over some plain white die-cutting hellos. Last but certainly not least, to finish the card off, I decided to add the complimentary and dimensional die cutting Fall sentiment to the lower inside part of the card. As, I mentioned in the beginning of the post, I used Heather Lowercase Stamp and Heather Lowercase Die Set along with a combination of Ballet Slipper Ink and Peach Fuzz Ink to make the Fall sentiment.
And, with that being said friends, I hope this fun fold and glimmering inspiration card with a “Fall” look inspires you to give these sets a try!
