Mixed Flower Bouquet, Thanks Card
Hello, Friends! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing this Thanks card that I’ve created with the February’s Mixed Flower Bouquet Stamp and Mixed Flower Bouquet Die sets from the Greenhouse Society collection by Technique Tuesday so, without further ado, please keep reading below ↓
To begin with, I started by placing inside my stamping tool a Strathmore Watercolor Card Stock panel. Next, I placed over the card panel the floral cluster from the Mixed Flower Bouquet Stamp Set. Once, the stamp was placed in place, I picked it up with the stamping tool door the stamp, and I added lots of Embossing Powder Tool to the card panel because, I was going to stamp the image with Embossing Ink.
Right after the stamping, I added Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder to the stamped image, and I heat set it with my Heat Embossing Gun Tool until the powder was melted. Soon after when the heat embossing was done, I temporarily taped down on a clipboard the card panel because, I was going to do a simple water-coloring.
For the water-coloring, I used as usual my Derwent Watercolor Paint Set to watercolor the flowers in Peachy-Pink hues. As for the leaves, I water-colored them in with Green and Blue hues. Once, I had the water-coloring done, I set it aside to let it dry. Meanwhile, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the Leaf Die to die-cut it 2X out watercolor cardstock. At first, I thought about water-coloring the leaves but, I ended up leaving them as is for a cleaner look.
So, after creating the die-cutting leaves, I ran through the die-cutting machine the card panel along with the coordinated die which happens to be the Mixed Flower Bouquet Die Set to die-cut the cluster out it. Lastly, I trimmed the edges off slightly smaller than the card base, and I adhered the backing of it with double-sided tape to an A2 side folding white card base.
Finally, to finish the card off, I adhered the leaves with liquid glue to the card as shown in the image above, and I inlaid back in place the bouquet with foam mounting tape to add dimension. For the sentiment, I ran through the die-cutting machine the thanks word die included in the set to die-cut it 1X out of gold cardstock and 3X out white cardstock. Once, all thanks die-cutting words were done, I stacked them all and I adhered the dimensional Thanks die-cutting word to the card. As, finishing touches, I adhered Crystal Confetti here and there for an extra touch of Shine! With that being said, that’s all for today friends, I hope this card inspire you to give it a try!
