Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this set of simple yet, very detailed “Diamond Motif” tags/ornaments made with Essentials: Classic Tags with Fillable Elements Die Set, Diamond Motif Stencil and PFS- Inks along with a whole array of die sets by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
To make this set of ornaments I’ve use non-traditional color so I can also be use as tags for my Christmas gifts as well so therefore, the colors that I’ve used are; Ballet Slipper Ink, Coral Reef Ink and Marigold Ink. Other than using different colors, I made each ornaments or tag in the same way as they can be useful for a mass production due, they simplicity so let’s get started.
To begin with, I’ve started by lining up over a large piece of White cardstock the Diamond Motif Stencil. Once, I’ve had it onto place, I went ahead to ink blend it using an ink blending brush along with the color combination mentioned above. Therefore, after I’ve had finished the ink blending over the cardstock, I went ahead to set the large panel off to the side to let the inks soak into the paper.
Meanwhile, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of White cardstock one of the snowflakes dies from Layered Snowflakes Die Set thus, after I had them both line up, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. And, so on and so forth, I repeated the same step to die-cut a few more snowflakes out of White cardstock as well as some out of Translucent vellum.
Right after that I’ve had finished die-cutting the snowflakes, I went ahead to set them off to the side while I’ve gone ahead to die-cut the translucent bows. Thus, for the bows, I’ve lined up over translucent vellum some of the dies from Artistic Bows Die Set and then, I went ahead to run them thru the die-cutting machine a few times until I had a few pieces to create as many translucent bows needed for the tags/ornaments. Lastly, I went ahead to assemble the translucent artistic bows and then, I’ve gone ahead to set them off to the side while I started the die-cutting for the tags.
Moving on, to die-cut each tags/ornament, I lined up over each ink blended section the circle tag die from Essentials: Classic Tags with Fillable Elements Die Set and I ran them through the die-cutting machine. Therefore, once I’ve had finished die-cutting them out of each ink blending section, I went ahead to die-cut a few more but this time out of plain White cardstock so, right after that I had that step done, I went ahead to finish the die-cutting process by die-cutting a few Merry & Bright die-cutting shadow words out of white cardstock using the coordinating die from Merry and Bright Frame Coordinating Die Set. Which, right afterwards I’ve had gotten stamped with its coordinating stamp using the stamp image from Merry and Bright Frame Stamp Set and the color combination already mentioned.
So, to assemble each tag/ornament I went ahead to mount with foam square adhesives each ink blending tag/ornament to a white die-cutting tag for a 3D effect. Next, I’ve got layered one white die-cutting snowflake on top of a translucent die-cutting snowflake and then, I’ve got them glue down with liquid glue on the left side of the tag/ornament (as shown in the image above). Then, I went ahead to mount with tiny pieces of foam tape their coordinating Merry & Bright die-cutting sentiment. Last but not least, I went ahead to trim down a piece of delicate lace ribbon which I tied with a knot (as you can see in the image above) Finally, to finish them off, I went ahead to get the translucent bows glue down with liquid glue to each tag/ornaments and as a finishing touch I gone ahead to spray each of them with Shimmer Craft Spray-Sparkle for an extra touch of sparkle and, to add even more shine, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue some tiny jewels from my stash. With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of simple yet, very detailed “Diamond Motif” tags/ornaments.
