Spellbinders DEC-2020 Card Kit of the Month┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you a set of 6 delicate & dimensional “Crafty-Friendship” cards made using Die Cut Shapes, Tags, Chipboard Stickers, Sequins, Die, Stamp and the Patterned Paper Pad included in DEC-2020 “Heart Hands” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step for how I’ve made them ↓

As per usual with every Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month, I started by selecting the die cut shapes and patterned paper sheets that I was going to use to create each card so therefore, I trimmed the edges off from 2 of the patterned papers a bit smaller than the card base, and then I went ahead to get the backing of them adhered with the double-sided tape (included in the kit) to one of the A2 textured card bases which is also included in the kit creating that way a double pattern which, I separated with a strip of pink cardstock.

Once the card panel was adhered to the card base, I’ve gone ahead to use the Heart Hands Die included in the club kit so therefore, I went ahead to line it up over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Soon after that I’ve had finished die-cutting both white hands, I’ve gone ahead to ink up one of them using warm distress oxide inks colors which were close to my skin color.

Thus, after I’ve had finished ink blending the die-cutting hand I went ahead to get the card panel embellished using the die-cutting hand along with one of the Tags included in the club kit and the sentiment and floral frame which, I had previously stamped, heated embossing and got fussy cutting using a pair of small scissors. By the way, for the heat embossing step I used; WOW! Metallic Gold Rich, WOW! Embossing Pad, WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool and Embossing Powder Tool. That said, after I’ve had finished embellishing and mounting the tag along with the die-cutting hand, I went ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue some of the gold sequins to add an extra touch of gold and shine.

For the second card, I’ve gone ahead to trim the edges off from one of the patterned papers and then, I went ahead to get it adhere to the card base using the double-sided tape included in the kit.

Next, I kept it simple by using one of the die cut shapes in form a tag included in the die cut shape pack from the club kit so therefore, I went ahead to get the tag mounted (as shown in the image above) with square foam adhesives to add dimension.

Thus, to finish the embellishment for the card, I went ahead to get adhered some of the chipboard stickers included in the kit creating as well with them the sentiment or sentiments for the card. Last but not least, I also went ahead to get glue down with liquid glue some of the gold sequins to add a touch of shine.

The third example had the same vibe as the previous example however, as you can see in the image above this example was made using a combination of chipboard stickers and die cut shapes.

Thus, I went ahead to trim off the edges from one of the patterned paper and then, I’ve gotten it adhered to the card base using double-side tape. Then, I went ahead to adhere some of the chipboard sticker while I’ve got some of the die cut shapes adhered with square foam adhesives to add a bit of dimension.

The fourth example was definitely the much easier example of all so therefore, I went ahead to trim the edges off from one of the patterned papers which includes this beautiful landscape view.

Thus, after I’ve had finished trimming it off, I went ahead to get the back of it adhere with double-sided tape to one of the white card base included in the kit.

That said, after I’ve gotten it adhered to the card base, I’ve gone ahead to get the card panel embellished (as shown in the image above) using one of the foiled chipboard sticker and one foiled die cut shapes creating that way the sentiment for the card.

To make the fifth example, I’ve used the dies from included in the kit as well as the stamp set so therefore, that first thing that I did was to add a bit of dimension to the card panel by getting it adhere to the card base with craft foam tape, a patterned paper which I’ve had previously trim the edges off using my paper trimmer.

Next, I went ahead to embellish the card panel creating a gold floral frame using the die-cutting pieces that I’ve had previously die-cut using the dies as I mentioned earlier, and pieces of the gold cardstock included in the kit. Thus, after I’ve had finished adhering the gold floral frame to the card panel, I went ahead to finish the card off by mounting a sentiment which I’ve had previously stamp and gold heated embossing on a piece of white cardstock which right afterwards I’ve had fussy cut out of the white cardstock using a small pair of scissors.

The last example is my most favorite of all as I’ve used both die-cutting hands so therefore, I went ahead to get the patterned paper adhered to the card base and then, I went ahead to set it off to the side.

Then, just like I did for the first example I went ahead to get them line up over a piece of white cardstock and get them die-cut it out of it using my die-cutting machine. To add colors, I used the same warm tones as I did for the first example. That said, after I’ve got both hands ink up, I went ahead to get them glue down with liquid glue to their shadow layers which, right afterwards I’ve gone ahead to mount them to the card panel with craft foam (as shown in the image above) Last but not least, I went ahead to get adhere in the center of the hands a die cut shape in a form of a heart and to finish the card off, I’ve gotten mounted with square foam adhesives another die cut shape making that die cut shape the sentiment for the card.

Finally, to add a touch of shine, I’ve also gone ahead to get glue down with liquid glue some of the gold sequins.
