Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I would like to share with you these Memorydex “Cards & Matching Envelope” made using Memorydex System by Heidi Swapp which you know it can be found over Scrapbook.com. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
To begin with, I started by making this Memorydex card inserted on my Heidi Swapp Rolodex Spinner - Blush which, is the one that you can see in the image above. Therefore, to make it I used a full array of beautiful dies, stamps and ephemera pack by Pinkfresh Studio along with Heidi Swapp Memorydex Die Set Oval.
Thus, I started by lining up the oval die from Heidi Swapp Memorydex Die Set Oval over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I placed the plain white die-cutting Memorydex card inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and once I had that step done, I went ahead to get the stamping done using Cling Rubber Stamp: Diamond Tiles and Coral Reef Ink adding that way a pop of color to the plain background. So, once I had that step done, I went ahead to embellished using a few die-cutting pieces along with a few ephemera pieces.
That said, I started by gluing down a delicate and dimensional white die-cutting wreath which, I’ve had previously die-cut out of white cardstock using Leafy Wreaths Die Set. Next, I went ahead to get mounted on the left side of the Memorydex card 2 floral die cut shapes from Celebrate: Ephemera Pack.
Lastly, I also mounted with craft foam tape a die cut shapes with a Happy sentiments along with 2 extra sentiments which, I’ve gotten die-cut on strip form out of a stamped and gold heat embossing background which, I had previously created using Cling Rubber Stamp: Do What You Love and Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. To finish it off, I went ahead to tuck in some die-cutting greenery to make the die cut flower shapes stand out and then, I added some sparkle by gluing down here and there with liquid glue a combination of gold and sparkling pink sequins.
For the second example, I made a Rolodex/Memorydex decorative card with a flap. So therefore, I went ahead to line up Lift The Flap Rolodex Die over a large piece of white cardstock and then I went ahead to run them through my die-cutting machine. Next, I repeated the same step but this time to die-cut it a second Rolodex/Memorydex card out one of the patterned paper from Heidi Swapp - Storyline Paper Pad.
Thus, right after that I’ve had finished die-cutting them I went ahead to adhere them one on top of the other. And, once I had that step done, I lifted the top flap and then, I went ahead to get a sentiment stamped inside with Detail Black Ink using one of the sentiments from You Can Change the World Stamp Set. Therefore, as soon as I had finished stamping the sentiment, I went ahead to start the embellishment over the top flap.
So, as for the embellishments, I made a floral cluster using a combination of die-cutting pieces from my stash along with some of the translucent stickers including on a sheet from Heidi Swapp - Storyline Paper Pad. For the translucent tickers, I went ahead to get them adhere on a piece of white cardstock and then, I fussy cut them out with a pair of precision scissors. With that said, after I had finished creating the floral cluster, I’ve gone ahead to adhere it down to the top flap and then, I finished the decorative Rolodex/Memorydex card by gluing down a combination of sparkling sequins adding that way a touch of shine!
To create the matching envelope, I went ahead to use as template one of the envelopes from Memorydex Envelope Cards so therefore, I went ahead to line up the envelope template over a patterned paper sheet from the pad and then, I traced it over it using a pencil.
Thus, right after that I had it tracing over the patterned paper, I went ahead to use a pair of sharp scissor to fussy cut it out from the patter paper. And, once I had that step done, I went ahead to place it over my scoring board tool to mark the folding lines. Therefore, once I had finished marking them over, I kept going to fold them over and then I’ve got them adhere using 1/8’’ width double-sided tape.
Moving on, after I had the enveloped finished, I went ahead to set it off aside while I went ahead to die-cut some journaling cards. So, to do that I used some old project life cards from my stash along with the inner die from Cloud Border Memorydex Frame Metal Cutting Dies to add the stitching border detail.
Lastly, I kept it simple by embellishing the envelope flap using a pre-made ribbon tied bow and a charm from my stash. And then, I finished it off my punching the holes using Heidi Swapp Memorydex Hole Punch - 2 Slot.
With that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made these Rolodex/Memorydex cards & matching journaling envelope.
