Just Because Greeting Card
Hello crafty friends! On today’s blog I have a clean & simple Just Because card with a touch of water coloring featuring the Hello Hollyhocks Stamp Set & Hello Hollyhocks Crafting Die from the July release by Technique Tuesday. So, without further ado keep on reading the tutorial. ↓
To begin with, I started by smooshing in a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock Shaded Lilac & Spun Sugar distress oxide inks to create the background as, I wanted a soft watercolor touch for the card panel. Next, I set it aside the smooshed card panel to let it dry while, I gold heat embossed in a separate piece of white card stock two of the floral cluster, and two of the little butterflies from the Hello Hollyhocks Stamp Set with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder. Right after the heat embossing, I ran through the die-cutting machine the gold embossed images along with their coordinated dies to create the die-cuttings for the card.
In the meantime, I also ran through the die-cutting machine one of the Essential Stitched Labels Crafting Dies, and the card panel which was already dried by the time of the die cutting. As you can see, I also gold heat embossed one of the sentiments from the same Hello Hollyhocks Stamp Set.
Lastly to finish the card panel off, I adhered the backing of the card panel to an A2 size side folding white card base with double sided tape. Next, I adhered the backing of the first floral cluster with liquid glue on one of the top sides of the card panel followed for the second cluster which, I adhered with foam mounting tape as I wanted to create dimension in between the floral cluster as you can see in the picture above. Right afterwards, I inlaid the label on which I had gold heat embossed the sentiment, and for that I used foam mounting tape too just to create a little dimension. Finally, to finish the card off, I adhered the little gold embossed butterflies, and a few Unicorn Tears Jewels here and there for an extra touch of sparkle
So, that’s all for today friends! I hope these cards inspire you to give this design, and the Hello Hollyhocks Stamp Set & Hello Hollyhocks Crafting Dies set a try! As always, I appreciate the time that you take to read my blog posts down below you’ll find the supply list.
