Butterfly Square Die Greeting Cards

Butterfly Square Die Greeting Cards

Hello dear friends! It’s release day yay... So, on today’s blog I’m happy to share with you the two cards that I made with the new Butterfly Square Die from the Believe in You release by Simon Says Stamp. That being said please keep on reading this blog post ↓

For the first card, I made a shaker card by running through the die cutting machine a white card panel along with the Butterfly Square Die. As you can see, I did two cuts one on top of the card panel, and the other on the lower side. Once both die-cuttings were done, I adhered the backing of the leftover card panel to a HA Acetate Sheet with double-sided tape. In the meantime, I also carefully inlaid back in place the positive die-cutting from the Butterfly Square die-cuttings on top of the acetate with liquid glue, and I set it aside while I create the inside background for the card. For the inside background, I adhered a piece of Rainbow with Splatters Washi Tape to an A2 white card panel easy uh! Then, to finish the card panel off, I adhered lots of 3M foam mounting tape to the backing of the card panel with the butterflies, and I added Rainbow Bright Diamonds inside the frames to create the shaker movement. Lastly, I peel off all of the backing paper from the tape, and I adhered the panel that I create for the inside background on top of it with the colors facing down as I was working upside down to keeping for the diamond not to fall everywhere (I hope I don’t confuse you, and this makes sense to you) Right after when I was done adhered the backing of the card panel to the other, I rounded two corners of the card panel as you can see in the picture above with We R Memory Keepers Chomper, and I white heat embossed a sentiment in a piece of Black Card Stock from the Tiny Words Encouragement Stamp Set which, I trimmed and adhered with 3M Foam Tape to add a little bit of more dimension.

For the second card, I started by smooshing a little hint of Carved Pumpkin, Scattered Straw, Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, and Spun Sugar in a white card panel. Once, the smooshing was done, I set the card panel aside for the inks to dry out. In the meantime, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Butterfly Square Die to die-cut it out of white card stock 5X. Right after when I was done with the die-cuttings, I stacked all the frames together creating a dimensional frame as you can see in the picture above. As for the sentiment, I white heat embossed another sentiment from the same Tiny Words Encouragement Stamp Set on a piece of black card stock with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. By the time that I was done with the die-cutting, and heat embossing the sentiment the card panel which, I smooshed with the distress inks earlier was already dry. So, I trimmed the card panel slightly smaller than a standard A2 size card, and I rounded the two bottom corners as you can see in the picture above. Lastly, I adhered the Butterfly Square with liquid glue followed by the sentiment which I adhered with 3M Foam Tape to add a little dimension.

Finally, to finish both cards off I adhered each of the card panels to their A2 side top folding white card bases with double-sided tape, and I round the corners of the card bases following the corners from the card panels. To complement the sparkle from the shaker card, I adhered a few Moonshine Confetti Sequins just to add a little sparkle to the other card.
