Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a second “Holiday” inspiration card very similar to the one a shared two days ago. However, to change this a bit, this time I made it using, Holiday Botanical Background Stencil to create the botanical card background along with PFS- Inks. Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set to add the diagonal stitched edge to the card panel + Thrill of Hope Hot Foil Plate and Thrill of Hope Die for the die-cutting and glimmering card sentiment. Along with theses fabulous sets, I’m also using Metallic Pearls -Gold for the card embellishment. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
Therefore, as per usual with every layered stencil set, I started off by placing an A2 size white card panel over my Make Art - Stay-tion - 7 Inch. And then, I went ahead to line up over the card panel the guide lines from stencil #1 including in Holiday Botanical Background Stencil. Next, as soon as I had them line up, I went ahead to start the ink blending over the stencil using an ink blending brush along with Mint Ink.
Next, to continue with the layered ink up for the holiday botanical background, I went ahead to use stencil #2 along with Evergreen Ink. Stencil #3 along with Meadow Ink and last but not least, stencil #4 along with Storm Ink.
Having that said, right after that I’ve had finished inking up the card panel, I went ahead to let the inks soak into it, and then, as soon as that step was completed, I continued to line up over the card panel the largest die including in Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set, which right afterwards, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut the frame and to add the diagonal stitched edge to it.
Moving on, after I had finished adding the stitching detail to the edge of the card panel, I went ahead to mount the backing of it over an A2 size top folding white card base using, craft foam and double-sided adhesive to add some dimension to it. Lastly, I got glued down a glimmering and dimensional sentiment in the center of the card. A card sentiment, which I’ve had previously created using a piece of white cardstock along with Thrill of Hope Die and Thrill of Hope Hot Foil Plate + Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass for the hot foil stamping process. By the way, as I mentioned in my previous post, this set also has Thrill of Hope Stamp which happens to be the coordinating stamp for the set in case hot foil stamping isn’t your thing.
Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and the with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue some Metallic Pearls -Gold to add an extra touch of shine to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made a second “Holiday” inspiration card using products by Pinkfresh Studio.
