Concord & 9th Holiday-2021 Release┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Friday, Friends! It’s feature Friday over at Concord & 9th. Thus, today I’d like to share with you the second set of “Holiday” inspiration cards made using, Poinsettia Fill-In Bundle and O Holy Night Bundle. Along with these fabulous bundles, I’m using as well their Ink Cubes Bundle and Assorted Color Cardstock. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

To start off, I began by placing an A2 size white card panel inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and then, I went ahead to line up over it the large stamp image including in O Holy Night Stamp Set. Once, that I had the stamp image and card panel lined up, I went ahead to get the sentiment stamped twice over the card panel with embossing ink. Next, I continued to get the card panel heat embossing with gold embossing powder, and soon after that I had the heat embossing steps completed, I’ve proceeded to line up over the heated embossing sentiment its coordinating die which happens to be including in O Holy Night Dies and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut the sentiment out of the card panel.

Thus, as soon as I’ve had finished die-cutting the large card sentiment, I went ahead to set if off to the side. Meanwhile, I went ahead to get some greenery and some poinsettias die-cut using the dies including in the die set along with Parsley, Aqua Sky, Grapefruit and Sorbet including in Assorted Color Cardstock. Lastly, right after that I had finished die-cutting all pieces, I went ahead to get them glue down (as shown in the image above) over the entire front of an A2 size top folding white card base. And, once that step was completed, I proceeded to mount the card sentiment with craft foam and Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to add some dimension. Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there some tiny jewels adding that way a delicate and an extra touch of shine to the card.

Moving on, for the second example, I used Poinsettia Fill-In Bundle which includes a stamp that stamps the entire background along with some individual stamp images, which stamps the greenery, a large poinsettia and of course some card sentiments. Therefore, I started off by placing a white card panel inside my stamping tool. Next, I lined up the large stamp image form the set to get the background stamp image stamped over the card panel using with Aqua Sky, which is included in the Ink Cubes Bundle. And, as soon as I had the background stamp image stamped over the card panel, I went ahead to fill in the stamped background by stamping the smaller leaves clusters with Sea Glass ink and the berries clusters which I got them stamped with Grapefruit ink.

At this point, I could have gone to keep stamping by filling in the background panel for a one-layer card, but instead I decided to add some dimension by individually stamping the poinsettias and leaves clusters. Also, by getting them die-cut out of the cardstock using their coordinating dies, which right after that I had finished the stamping and die-cutting got them layered and glued down them over the stamped card background (as you can see in the image above.) Lastly, I went ahead to trim off the edges from the dimensional card background to H 5-1/4” x W 4.0” inches using my Comfort Paper Trimmer and then, I got it foam mounted over an A2 size top folding white card base. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down the die-cutting sentiment which, I’ve had previously die-cut out of translucent vellum and gold cardstock using the dies including in the set.

Finally, as a finishing touch, I went ahead to glue down here and there some of the tiny jewels I used in the previous example to give an extra dimensional shine to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made the second set of “Holiday” inspiration cards using some of the just released stamp and die sets by Concord & 9th.
