From My Heart to You Card

FROM MY HEART TO YOU CARD

Hello, on today's Blog I'm sharing how I created a Simple card out of pieces of scraps that I've left from a previous card.

Let's Get Started

First, I selected the die for my die cuttings. The die that I'm featuring today is Nested Hexagon Die by The Stamp Market. But, of course it can be any die of your choice.
Then, I pick one piece of the Neenah #80 Classic Crest Solar White cardstock for layering.

Die cutting

Second, I started the die cutting by picking 2 different sizes from the Hexagon die set. The idea was to create a collage with them.

Stamping and Embellishment

Third, for the stamping I stamped one of the sentiments from the Mandy's Flowers stamp set by Simon Says Stamp in a piece of Neenah #80 Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. Also, for the embellishments I used the EK Success layering Butterfly Punch to cut some butterflies out of white cardstock.

I always get so excited when I get to the final part. The layering is the funniest part of the handmade cards in my opinion. But sometimes could be a little bit challenging. Because, most likely 75% I'd ended up changing my main idea. Sometimes, because I add or subtract embellishments. So, for this card I decided to adhere the hexagons on the right side of the panel leaving a little bit of white space in between. I adhered 3 large hexagons in a triangle shape. Then 1 small hexagons on top of one large hexagon and other under creating a collage. Once, the hexagons were all adhered to the white panel I started the embellishment part, by adhering the layering butterflies on top of the collage in a triangle shape too leaving a wide space open for the sentiment. Last but not least, I adhered the sentiment on top of the patterned piece of scrap for contrast. Also, I adhered the backed of the sentiment to a piece of foam tape for dimension.

And to finished up I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in the Bubble Blush color creating dimension to the butterflies body. Then, I adhered the panel to an A2 size Neenah Desert Storm 100# card base.
