For You Cards

FOR YOU CARDS

Hello, on today's Blog. I'm creating a Gate Fold Thank You card, featuring the beautiful patterned papers that came on the Simon Says Stamp August cardkit.

let's get started

First, I used Neenah #110 Classic Crest Solar White for my card base that measures W 8.5''X H 5.5'' Then, I scored at 2 1/8'' turned it 360 degrees and scored again at 2 1/8''. Creating  2 score lines in each side for a standard A2 size with a front opening card.

Right after I cut 2 pieces of the patterned paper that measure W 1 7/8'' X  H 5.25'' for the actual design.

Coloring and Stamping

Second, I stamped the flower on a piece of Neenah 80# Classic Crest Solar White from the Mandy's Flowers stamp set by Simon Says Stamp with Extreme Black ink by My Favorite Things. Then, I did a quick copic coloring using.
RV00, RV02, RV04
YG17, YG21, YG25
BG11, BG45
After, the coloring I fussy cut the stamped circle with the floral arrangement. Also, I use a die cutting machine to die cut 1 circle in silver glitter cardstock and 1 circle in white cardstock.

layout

Now, to the fun part. First, I started laying out by adhering the 2 pieces of patterned paper in each of the opening sides. Then, I adhered the  backed of the stamped floral with on top of the silver glitter circle. Once, they were adhered I adhered the backed of the glitter circle to a smaller circle of fun foam. So, I could create dimension between the silver glitter circle and the white circle that was going to be adhered to one side of the card opening. Last but not least, I adhered the backed of the fun foam to the last white circle that I cut out of white cardstock. And to finished up I adhered half of the layered circle to one of the card sides.

The Final Look

Now, you can see both cards that I've created out of the same idea. The only thing that I would recommend. If, you decide to give it a try is to stamp the sentiment before adhering all the layers. Because, I did the opposite way on my first card. And, that did not work well. So take it as a good advice from my mistake.
