Happy Friday, Friends! In today’s blog post, I’d like to share with you a quick and simple encouraging inspirational card made with a “Lace & Floral” look using the Floral Lace Stencil and Floral Lace Die to create the die-cutting and dimensional floral lace background. Besides that, I used the Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil and Wonderful Sentiments Die set to add the card’s sentiment, and last but not least PFS- Inks to add the pops of color. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
Therefore, I used the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to do the die-cutting process for the card’s background. So, as soon as I had the die-cut machine in place over the Glass Craft Mat, I proceeded to use large pieces of white and gold cardstock along with the Floral Lace Die to cut out two detailed backgrounds from the white cardstock and one from the gold cardstock.
Next, after getting the die-cutting process done, I went ahead to layer both white die-cutting backgrounds, and once I had that done, I went ahead also to get them layered over the gold die-cutting background however, I offset it a little to the left to add a gold shadow to it.
Thus, after getting those steps completed, I went ahead to set it aside. Meanwhile, I went ahead to place an A2 size white card panel over the craft mat, and then, I used three different ink-blending brushes along with the stencils included in Floral Lace Stencil set, to ink up the card panel with Coral Reef Ink, Clementine Ink, and Marigold Ink.
Thereafter, when I got the layered stenciling completed, I carefully went ahead to get the backing of the dimensional background glued down over the inked panel, making sure that I got it lined up where it should be. By the way, I would like to mention that this beautiful background has also the coordinating Floral Lace Hot Foil in case you want to create a one-layer card with an extra touch of glimmer.
That being said, after getting the floral lace background glued down over the inked panel, I went ahead to use Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue, Jewels Picker, and some of the smaller Metallic Pearls -Gold to add a touch of shine to the flower’s centers, just like you can see in the image above.
Nevertheless, as soon as, I had finished getting the pearls glued down, I went ahead to get the backing of the card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base.
And finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add its card sentiment in the lower right corner; a card sentiment that I had previously created by using white cardstock, satin gold foil, and one of the Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil plates + the coordinating die included in Wonderful Sentiments Die.
